I'm one of the original Whirlpool foundation members. I remember reading Whirlpool in the lead up to the release of GT5, and then there was the suggestion of a Whirlpool league and I was all over it. The only other online racing I had done previously was on Live For Speed on the PC. But racing there was so hit and miss with all the crashers and what not. Into the 12th season now, it has been fantastic. Loved every minute of it, even with network frustrations and disconnections, it's now a Sunday night ritual!
I haven't been around for ages, but I was a foundation member racing in season 1 and 2. I developed the Super GT series way back when which apparently went alright, I didn't have the time to devote to it at that stage unfortunately. Had some ding dong battles with OuttaAngst, Beau, Koastr and a few others...that Audi just didn't turn in!! I've just logged back in today and want to try and get back amongst it, haven't played competitively in a while so will be good to see if I can still match it with some of the ubertalents
Have been keen to get into racing and with GT6 I started searching google for leagues to join.. I came across this forum before finding other threads about it in whirlpool and another car forums i can't remember. This will be my first season so still pretty fresh and probably slow.
If you don't mind me asking, I just went to Wikipedia for a look to see what was said about us, and I couldn't find anything, would you mind showing us a link to the page?
Yeah it's a bit weird. When you do a google search for "raceonoz wiki" it returns the following sub text: "One of the biggest racing leagues in Gran Turismo is raceonoz.com which is a division based league where drivers are placed in divisions based on skill.", but this text is not there when you click on the link?
Was on GranTurismo 6 wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_6) There was a section about online gaming of GT6 and a link to http://raceonoz.com But it's gone now ... wierd ..
