Hey guys... I would like to throw it out there to see what interest there is in attending the 2016 Bathurst 12 hour on 5th - 7th Febuary. have had a quick look into some prices and the one that really surprised me was how cheap the camping is... 8m x 8m site was only $75 for the duration of your stay.... Motel accom is pretty much sold out and what was left was over a 1000 for 4 nights for 1 room..... ticket entry in on top of that and there are options ranging from up on the mountain for 70 for the 3 days to 150 for grandstands around pit and mountain straights. so Guys express you interest here and if we get something off the ground we can take it further...
My recommendation from experience is do the Saturday and then watch the race on TV from home. It's quite hard to keep track of the race without a TV near by as commentating on track isn't the clearest. Mind you doing day trip isn't so easy if your not already in nsw. It's an amazing event, best Motorsport race Australia has to offer IMO due to the calliper of racing and access to the action. One year I bumped into Eric banner on his way to drivers briefing before quali.
Would love to do it, but dont think I can afford it or find the time unfortunately. Have fun if you get it off the ground Vardz.
Hey boys ....my wife sprung one on my tonight.... Long story short I won't be going to Bathurst next Feb as we will be saving to go to Moscow and the world dog show next June.... A city I have always wanted to visit.... So if anyone is up to run with this trip you are more than welcome but I will have to wait for 2017
I'll be checking the Bathurst 12 hour web site tonight at 12:00 am . make sure your on , camp site's will sell out fast .
