    Some awesome angles there Seido.

Looking ahead to the next round, what lap times are you guys running?
I have a feeling most people will turn up with an R8, but i'm going for something at least a little different.

Ran some quick practice tonight; best time was a 1:08.4xx, but there was some time that could still come off. For me 1:07's should be possible on a very clean lap.

    Thanks.

Well I haven't done a bit of prac yet.
Yea I think I'll leave the R8 also.

In the detail list, this upcoming round, Eifel will be created using the track creator 1 hr before race time.
But what do you guys think about that?

    Oh EIFEL

Well my practice was worthless then. I thought it was EIGER. My mistake.

Just thinking, we should either exclude the R8 from this round OR run the R8 only...

    What do you guys think?

This weekend brings round 4 of the 501-Make Series at Eifel (circuit) and Audi as the manufacturer (R8 EXCLUDED)
The circuit will be created an hour before race start. To give you all a head start the settings will be,
2 sections with a complexity of 9 (tested variations tonight, and 2 and 9 was great!)

2 races of 7 laps. The 2nd race will be run reverse grid and dynamic weather on.

    Hope to see you there!

Again, thanks to all who made it to the track!

Great driving by Flood in both races. I had a good battle with outta in his yellow Audi wagon, that was a beast!
Race 2 was great, after Flood went wide I took first. On the final straight Flood passed me and the gods of battle
stuck us together for the entire final lap. Very clean driving by flood.
Dynamic weather was on for race 2. The sky darkened by no rain...
I'll get some pics together over the weekend from round 4.

Next, Round 5 at Suzuka East. Honda Type R's will be battling it out!
I have updated the first post.

I only had time to attend the first race. I was a little late to practice. It is a bit tough to learn a 7+km track in half an hour.

I'm sure I sorted out my cars earlier in the week, but my rs4 had no mods applied for some weird reason, so I had to drive it at full weight (1600kg) this afforded me extra power, but I think lighter with less power is better. I was able to buy the some engine mods and tyres in the lounge, you can't do lightening mods in the lounge.

Anyway had some great racing with seido and stumbles, but wasn't able to master the track enough to take 2nd from seido. Towards the end my front tyres were shot at around 20%. the rears were is great shape, I think some centre diff torque adjustments would have helped.

    Great fun again seido thanks.

This sunday morning? Put me down for a maybe.
The Type R battle is one I wouldn't want to miss.

Thanks Seido. Being a completely foreign track it was always going to be tough for all of us. There were some corners that were quite tricky; I really hate the way the track generator favours blind, off-camber corners over a crest.
I was just trying to concentrate on staying on the road and look after the tyres, while constantly looking at the map to try get positioned for what corner was coming next.
Race 1 I skipped out to a bit of a lead early on and managed to extend it slightly all the way to the finish.
Race 2 Seido really stepped up and I spent most of the race trying to close down his gap. I managed to get close enough to get a slipstream at the beginning of the final lap which left Seido powerless to defend. He was then all over my back bumper for the entire final lap. Really good driving by him to be so close yet keep it so clean.

    Is Saturday better?
You see the thing is I'm on holidays and going away from the 6th of Aug until the 13th or 14th of August.
So won't be able to host the race for a few weeks after this weekend.
I've been looking forward to this round since I thought of the 501 series a few months ago! lol
I'm really hoping to get a bigger grid going, the most we've had was 7 or 6.

I really enjoyed round 4's racing... great driving by the pack and the weather in race 2 added atmosphere.
I'll work on some pics tonight!
