Hello from Rockhampton Qld. I have just this afternoon signed up. I have a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel and pedals. I have ordered a steering wheel stand from Gamesmen. Regards, Jas.
Hi Jas and welcome If you go to our new member guide here: http://raceonoz.com/forums/threads/welcome-guide-for-new-members.383/ This will give you a good starting base. What are your main racing games you drive, PC or console? Everyone here is pretty easy going and if you have any questions just yell out
............................................................................... Thanks for the reply. I will have a good look at the guide for new members. I don't have any consoles. My kids have all the current consoles. I like to drive the V8 Supercars in Race Driver 3 on my laptop that I sometimes put through my Epson projector and big portable screen. I also like to drive various truck driving sims. I have a Samsung laptop with an i7 processor, 8gig RAM and AMD Radeon™ HD7670M video. I also like to play Sniper Ghost Warrior. Can you recomend a PC racing sim? Regards, Jas.
iRacing is one of the main raceonoz staples on PC, some guys have been dabbling in Stock Car 2012, and asetto corsa.
....................................................... I think I will have a look at Stock Car 2012. I can afford to buy and download it. iRacing looks awesome, but I just don't have the time or money to put into it just at this moment. I have seen reviews and YouTube vids about iRacing and it looks like fun, but quite involved? Regards, Jas.
Yeah I done iRacing for a 3 month trial that I got for free, I enjoyed it, but yes to be competitive you need to invest a fair bit of track time, like yourself I just didn't have the time to put in.
