As the field has stabilized over the course of the championship a few minor changes have been implemented. Shannons racing have had a name change and now become Wilson Security racing, team members and points have been directly transferred while Travis Kerslake joins Mark Rayner in the Jack Daniels Nissan and all unused seats have become available so there is plenty of space for new comers. Looks like I need another solid performance to start catching these guys for points. We shall be aiming to take 3rd in the teams championship this round too. Will be on tonight for setup practice for sure.
Tonight's practice race is 12 laps of the Boot config. The boot race tomorrow night is 20 laps and has a compulsory pit stop for just fuel (can do tires but no need). Will do some fuel sums tonight and see what fuel we need to start with and add. Now the first race cup config tomorrow is 24 laps and open pit stratt so may be able to make it without a stop? need to do a test drive to see the fuel use for the shorter track. Any interested in having a look at this series come along tonight and have a run.
If you decide to race in the series they will give you a 2013 v8 supercar livery. On race day or tonight you get a skin pack of them and load it into your iracing skin folder. You then turn off Traiding Paints so it doesn't auto override the skins in your folder and you can then see all the v8 liveries. Must say it is a buzz seeing all the latest real life skins running around together in an Iracing race. Take a look at the current driver list here http://www.omr.com.au/forum/yaf_postst2023_Paints-and-Numbers.aspx and there are only a few cars available so will need to let them know if you want one. 12.
