I guess this is the downside of having a complicated scoring system and on the fly weather. Turns into hard work for the organisers.
Looks like I will be hosting on Sunday guys, so could everyone add me to their friends list if I am not on there already please?
I hope all went well with your wife beaker. Congrats seowster & podium. Some good racing. Pits finally worked for us!
Cheers, she's alright Gary. Dodgy wisdom tooth causing an absyss. She's on antibiotics for now. Well done Mark. (Taught him everything he knows)
Anyone got fastest laps? Curious to see what times everyone was showing in the race. Couldn't break 25's during prac/qualy, but managed low 24's in the race with ease. Dunno if it was strange physics or what not. Threw away a possible podium last night. Shattered. Silly mistakes on my end, and then my wheel stand shifted coz I didn't do it tightly enough. Had to try and loosen the bolt, straighten the stand to a more comfortable position, then retighten it, all on the short main straight, while @agolfer78 was breathing down my neck. Realised after the race that it was the actual wheel that slid out of alignment and not the stand itself.. Gonna need to find a way to tighten it more, as this has happened on more than one occasion.
Your stand doesn't have holes to screw the wheel on there mate? If not perhaps drill some in there and screw it down. I'm gutted I didn't get to race last night. We practiced hard to get the times down from 26's to 24's with full race fuel. Even broke into the 23's at times. I'm glad Mark done the business though.
Oh the relief when i drove out of the pits last night. Well done to @seowster on a great drive and Gaz for rounding out the podium on a brave zero stop strategy. I managed to get into the groove pretty quick in practice and get some decent times down in the mid 23's and was happy to nail a lap to take out pole. The z4 was great to drive but the rear end was very lively and the slightest mistake turned into big mistakes quickly. I managed to make my way back to second place after losing 3 spots at the corkscrew and closed right up on Seowster but threw it away. After another spin i was back to 4th and Golfer went through. I decided to pit at lap 20 and the under cut worked a treat, i'm not sure id Rano and Golfer had issues on those laps but i came out way ahead of both of them with only Gaz to catch to get second place. I reeled him in pretty quick on fresh tyres and took a big dive into turn 1 to make the pass, i knew i was too far off first place so i backed off a bit to make sure i could secure 2nd. Great racing from everyone, sorry the start was a bit of a mess, i came almost to a stop to let Golfer get back on track for the start but when he went into pit lane i decided to get us going.
Good idea. I know there are screw holes, but can't remember if they lined up with the T300 or not... I'll try and find some time over the Xmas break to check it out.
Yes, good racing all. My apologies for the start, im sure your all wondering what was going on. I jumped the start and got a PLP so I went and served it then started from the back of the grid.
