Hey guys, had someone message me basically asking why i always go much quicker on a Sunday Night than i do in my videos.
If you look at the Monza Video, the guage to the left of the Tachometer is a fuel gauge, it stays at 90 litres because i practise with a full tank with no fuel burn on, I did this nearly always in Season 4 until now, in fact i think i've only made maybe 5 hotlap videos thus far with Fuel Burn on.
The advantages i've found to using this practise method? It gives you more time learning how the car handles at it's worst so you learn the weight transfer of the car much better, learn how the brakes work better and you get a much more accurate measurement of Brake Markers. For example,. into Ascari i brake before the guardrail to the right with the car at a full tank and i can juuuuust pull the car up. So i know later in the race on a lower fuel load, that if i am in a comfortable position i can brake before the marker and pull it up comfortably with no risk. Alternatively, if i have someone ahead of me i need to chase down, i know on a lower fuel load i can brake 5-8ish meters later, thus braking after the barrier to the right and due to the lighter car, still make the apex.
Just a nice little practise idea you guys might want to employ
