A few weeks ago in one of the league practice lobbies I mentioned an idea for a rally championship... well here it is, the ROOZ World Rally Championship. At the moment this is just a check to gauge the interest in this series.

This will run as a time trial series, where you have a week to complete all of the stages and send the times to me in a PM. Tracks will be a mix between the pre-made Rally tracks in game and Course Maker tracks that you can download from the user who created the track profile (which means you'll need to add them to your friends list.

There will be 5 rallies in this series that you can choose from the list of 6 below:

Rally France - Chamonix (Snow/pre-made tracks)
Rally Italy - Toscana (Dirt and Tarmac mix/pre-made and course maker)
Rally Switzerland - Eiger Nordwand (Dirt and Tarmac mix/pre-made tracks)
Rally Belgium - Liege (Dirt/course maker tracks)
Rally Alaska - Alaska (Snow/course maker tracks)
Rally Japan - Mt. Aso (Tarmac/course maker tracks)

Each entrant has the opportunity to make their own stage for each rally with course maker options.

The cars will be split into two classes - manufacturers and privateers. The Manufacturers class will be the 2008 WRC cars, while the privateers class will include all of the '90's-early '00's WRC/Group A cars. Each manufacturer team will have two drivers, who's combined point scores will count towards the Manufacturers Championship, while the privateers will battle for the Privateers Cup. Of course, the main championship is the Overall Drivers Championship. All championships will use the current WRC points system (which is the same as the ROOZ league points system, with the bonuses taken out)

There will only be 4 teams in the Manufacturers Championship (can be increased by popular demand to 6 with addition of Stobart Ford and Citroen Junior Team)
    - BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team (Focus WRC)
    - Red Bull Total Citroen World Rally Team (C4 WRC)
    - Subaru World Rally Team (Impreza WRC '08)
    - Suzuki World Rally Team (SX4 WRC)
