I reckon what you should do is go back to real wear so there's no pitting, hopefully people don't cheat the fuel rule with tuning turned off and have a track list that only you know and tell us on like a Friday night before the Sunday race or something along those lines? Thoughts?
People should be restricted from practice. Some people need the practice to have fun on the night. Practice isn't always about getting faster... it can help to find out the places where you may spin and allow you to make specific changes to combat this. (yes decreased lap times can be a by-product of this)
I think keeping the track list secret is a little too far towards a dictator ship. I think with those regs people will be able to race in practice and bring the fun back, which is ultimately what it's all about. Real wear, no pitting, fuel rate to suit the length of the race and should be back to the ROOZ of old.
Yea mate hope we do get back there, I'm willing to help anytime you like if it means getting the fun back into ROOZ as I looked forward to every race and would always wish Sunday night would hurry up and roll around. But now I feel like I'm forced to jump on for 20 or so laps just so that I don't get embarrassed in the race haha
Just an idea to even the playing field up abit because in div 1 it's pretty obvious who gets the time to practice and who doesn't
I like the idea of a no tune series... while I like to tune and know a lot about it, I've found myself relying on tuning too much rather than improving my driving and knowledge of the track. I would welcome the challenge the other way around and could use my limited practice time more effectively
There's no fun factor lol I don't mind if I don't win but I'd rather hop off the wheel knowing I had a load of fun every week
After cooling off from being another lap 1 victim for another race, i'll still take a week off this weekend but I'll be back for Watkins Glen. All the best for this weekend everyone, hopefully you get a decent grid number regardless.
I'll be on if the result of Le Mans has been determined by then but would be surprised if it has given the last few years.
