My TH8 has bit the dust. Locked itself in second, but was doing plenty of weird sh1t for about 20mins before dying. Doesn't even show up on the PC any more and no go with the PS3 either. Had a fiddle, but I think she'll have to go back. Was trying to get the wheel set up better, but wasted about an hour on the shifter. Ahh well, still have the paddles. Got a few mates coming over now, so packed it up and am looking for a beer. Another day.
Hey guys decided to have a go at skinning for the first time found a tut on ac fourm that really helped and was much easier to do then i first thought.I cant work out how to put pics up on here lol put ill put it as my DP Freddy kruger
Looks awesome Tovey, yeah the tut is pretty easy to follow, I checked it out but Im not one for skinning cars, rather just race em If you wanna post pics you need to get a photobucket acc or similar, you post pics there and then link them in your posts using the "direct" link code, and paste it into the Image URL that pops up when you open the image box in the tools pane. Hope this helps mate Cheers.
OK cool cheers mate sounds easy enough yeah i had some spare time to kill lol id prefer to be racing got a tv now though so should have ac and gt6 back online again by tonight
when I do pics mate I use the basic windows editor, right clic on the pic you wanna resize, then clic on EDIT, from here it's all very easy and it's not a complicated editor, so you should be good from there. I always resize my pics by 50% gets em to below 700kbs that way and always save as gif image, keeps em small for posting, PNG is another popular image format on websites. Anyway, any dramas just holla Cheers Edit: just edit & delete the image for the doubled up pic.
http://thesimreview.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Assetto Corsa found some hidden gems not on the ac site which maybe means illegal conversion butt maybe not.theres supras,gt3 camaro, escort, alot of gems few goolge searches and i even found ebisu for ac for all you jap drift lovers
Awesome, Ive bookmark that one , good find Tovey. Looks like Ive seen some of these up on RD a while ago, but they got removed pretty quick for being unauthorised conversions, RD are have strange policy on mods/tracks on their site IMO. Some of these conversions look really good, will defo be keeping an eye on the site. Will down load a few of the better ones see what there like in game. Cheers.
I have done a little D/L from the website you posted @Tovey_4saken some mods are in need of major work to get to an Assetto Corsa minimum, but others aren't bad at all. So after going for a squirt in a few of em, thought Id have a rant Camaro GT3, is a little rough graphically interior wise, but it sounds and drives well, the physics seemed well balanced, you definitely know your driving a Camaro, it's BIG and feels it although the steering feedback was really weak forcing me to tweak my settings to get more from the wheel, I enjoyed the 20 or so laps of the Nurburgring. This thing is fun to drive, lacked a tight steering lock but probably setup related, I found it easy to heel N toe with this, must be the sound of the fat v8 note. Also liked the dirty windscreen view for that little bit more immersion. The one negative was the fixed helmet image in the rear view mirror , pretty sure it's removable just need to know how. Porsche 997GT3, looks and sounds great, but for some reason just didn't seem to go fast, might of been setup related though, I had to raise the ride height 40mm all round just to get it out the pits lol. This mod has very authentic Porsche sounds, the physics is also quit good, this car is very agile/responsive in the steering, the suspension is quit stiff also so curb hopping is thwart with risks, actually behaves like you'd expect a 997 on steroids to behave. With a good setup this will be much fun, and a Porsche Cup is possible with the Template included in the mod just need to learn to paint skins FCM, 2014 Mercedes W05, yup yup yup, this is F1, what a mod . From the moment you leave the pits you have this feeling that this thing will be a screaming heap of fun, the note is just V6 Turbo all over, and the downshift flame popping up in the mirrors is cool, if not slightly distracting. the steering response is sharp and direct but with a smooth flow about the way it handles, I found myself deliberately getting on the pedal early to feel the rear step out, but surprisingly managed to hold it most the time, even more of a feat with my average/ageing reflexes , This mod is a must for anyone into F1, highly recommended, built buy the same team who released the GP2 season mod. Which is also one of the best quality mods to date for AC IMO. Corvette C6R, what can I say......more please!! this is just up there in quality and physics, the interior is really well done with a working rear view vid screen on dash, great for watching your burnouts , many hours have been put into this mod this is evident from the moment it loads on track and you place you butt inside, the interior layout and attention to detail sets this mod off from the get go, but then you pop 1st gear and squeeze the pedal your met with this deep throaty ROAR of a 6ltr Chev race v8 , it's automotive bliss what can I say. It's handling is excellent and it goes like the clappers, the smooth feel and balance of the car make for relaxed steering inputs which can only lead to quicker lap times, another must have in the Assetto Corsa garage. There's a few more to test yet, a Subaru BRZ, a Speed 8 (aka Bentley 8) and a Toyota TS020 prototype I tried to D/L an Escort MkII twin turbo mod from HERE!! but it failed 3 times, will try again later as it sounds feken insane . Enough ranting for now Cheers
for the escort i found a working dl on youtube its a guy running it on a updated version of joux plane glad you enjoyed some of them im having another crack at making calder park full layout including thunder dome may be a few years with my 3d skills lol
Calder is one of my absolute Fav tracks, if you get stuck there's heaps of tut's around and you can always post a help thread on the AC forums, wish I knew more about3D etc I'd defo help with it, but I'm just a big noob in that department . I got the Escort in the end, just had to wait till all the local kiddies got booted of their xboxes & sent to bed to freed up some bandwidth lol, bloody Optus I'm having problems staying out of the C6R, what an awesome ride it is . Cheers
2ND attempt fell flat lol ive watched a good tut got the track layout done minus thunder but then he changed his language from english to who freaking knows lol uv map this bake bend blah turned into the parents voices on peanuts haha.I wish i could post a request on ac but they dont allow it has to be in there 1000000 page section its posted there though along with HQ.Hmm wonder how much to hire a guy lol i just really want the track optus aint all that bad im on dodo so you cant complain lol i swear i hear the dial up tone hope i can jump on tonight to check out this CR6 see if i can chuck its rear all about
Im sure one of the membs here is a 3D designer, @garyw61 , wonder if he wouldn't mind offering some assistance with it, might be worth a PM, can't hurt. I found a must have app for tyre temps http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=64536 but you may need to register with the site, it's Driving Italia who have a massive d/l section for AC, only problem is 85% is in Italian, I knew I should of payed more attention during Italian at school lol. I dont think it matters who your ISP is ATM, unless your on the NBN or over the street from the exchange, net speed is Crap Oz wide. Cheers
Just realised Its small enough to upload here . Install the un-zipped file to C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/assettocorsa/apps/python on 64bit, 32bit is just Program Files no (x86), Enjoy Cheers
