Hey guys, i've not got much to do so might be running a lobby tonight in the Z4's around our usual league race start time, although i'll have a decent practise session length for Race 1. (Sorry Kiwi's about the late start...) I was thinking of running 2x 25 minute races at different circuits i feel suit the Z4. My idea was Oschersleben GP first up and then the Green Hell afterward. I'm expecting to be egged about that last track, but if we get an alright turnout it could be alot of fun. Hope to see some of you there!
im gonna do some F1 practice tonight, but i cant resist a run in hell, so flick me an invite, if im not mid F1 race ill be down for sure!
Lol that was fun. The cars good round the green hell. Only a couple seconds of bash up the long straight. Good stuff! Nice reverse 180 beau! Looked great
alright guys......we're getting closer to the track list and have narrowed down to the following tracks...... 1. Donington national 2. Green hell 3. Bugatti 4. Laguna Seca 5. Willow springs 6. Sonoma National 7. Brno 8. Dubai GP 9. Snetterton variation 10. Hockenheim Variation 11. Oulton Park Island 12. Silverstone Variation There are some tracks in there that havent been used at all for the PCARS league, so will be leaning to those where possible........The car does heat the brakes which makes things interesting in the braking zones, so will be looking to 'try' to make use of that in the track selection....Will also be looking for a wet race and also a 24 hr cycle in one round..... TUNING will DEFINITELY be OFF, so it will just be a case of looking at what chance we have of getting a compulsary pit stop in, "if" it makes things too difficult we will rule it out...... For those of you that wanted a track list early, this should help, cant see any other surprises for tracks at this stage....As previously mentioned, the official season track list will be released at the meet and greet
I dont even care what the others are but if we get green hell and laguna in the same season i may have to pull out. COS ILL BE TOO EXCITED!!
From the 4 tracks last night ... Willow Springs is an awesome little track... fast .... racey .... plenty of grip .... passing ops ..... lock it in eddie barkley. Laguna is also a great track limited passing ops but you have to be on your 100% of the lap or you will get bitten... Snetterton 200 a little boring really ... maybe the 300 might be an option. Silverstone GP BLAH did it last season or a version anyway... quick report took me all of 3 mins and 45 secs
Good list although I thought Oschesleben GP might be a starter as it has plenty of variations in track style (sweeping sections, tight corners, hard braking at end of straight etc). Coming into my first season of Pcars so many of the tracks on the list are completely new to me so I can't wait to get my head around them. One track I can't get my head around is the Green Hell. For league racing where close, cut and thrust racing makes for an extremely enjoyable night, the Green Hell often ends up with massive gaps between cars, so you're just racing the time gap and due to the length of the circuit, it's almost impossible to set up your opponent for an overtaking move at a particular part of the track, let along learn where all the bumps, brake points and apexes are, not to mention sitting on the limiter on a section that is a prime overtaking opportunity. I think it's a track that you love or hate and I'm not a fan. Just my opinion and I know there are a few that absolutely love the place.
yep, im not a fan......but there are a hell of a lot of others who are......hasnt been run before on PCARS so is a chance of making the cut.....
I like the list, not sure if its worth anything but I'd love; Definitely a wet race - maybe Donington, Oschesleben GP or Bugatti for the wet. Included - Laguna and Oschesleben Hate - Brno (done to death), and green hell.
