Drivers Briefing: Belgian Grand Prix



Alright, we're at Spa, the longest and best track on the calendar. At 7.004km long the race will go for 22 laps, resulting in shorter stints for tyres in terms of overall laps.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it, in the last 3 weeks, the driving standards all through the field have taken a nosedive, and this week, we are going to get it right! I do not want to see my ROOZ inbox include cries of being taken out, being forced wide or this person cut the corner. Or in the PS4 chat for that matter. Keep in mind, while Mansell vs Senna down the Catalunya straight looks cool, they didn't have to deal with network issues where a car appear somewhere yet be elsewhere. Please leave room when overtaking, no one needs a 'dead' hero so to speak. That's not to say you can't fight for position, but a little bit of common sense goes a long way.

On the subject of common sense, please ensure your map and proximity arrows are turned ON. With these tools on, there's no excuses for getting in one's way on a hot lap. A repeat of the Hungary incident is not what we want to see.

The danger zones are the La Source hairpin, Eau Rouge/Radillion and the (ruined) Bus Stop chicane. Due to the rather terrible design of the pit lane, pitting whilst being overtaken can be a nightmare, as you risk crossing over the line another car might be taking. If you are pitting make sure you aren't going to take another car with you.



Track limits shouldn't really be an issue here, apart from the very much tamed Pouhon where mistakes are no longer punished. Do not cut Radilion. As with all tracks, ROOZ rules apply.

We already had back to back 100%ers in the first leg, I wanted to mix it up a bit for the second leg. More on that will come later.

My hot lap and setup for Spa - this should have been a 45.6, but a bad run through the bus stop chicane cost me

It's not a bad race setup either, but a 4/4 wing is probably a better option for the race

Well seeing how im already out, here we go.....
They only run it at this time of the year because so they have no competition from the other sports.
