While my competitive spirit shuns giving out advice, my community spirit wins the day today - advice from the bottom divisions will probably fly under the radar anyway
Plus I may just get some better racing out of it.
Plus I get to quote the underrated book "Playing to Win"
http://www.sirlin.net/ptw - Well worth the read.
I'm a firm believer in the idea that:
Some people choose auto, some people are willing to learn a bit more and learn manual, and get faster for it.
Some people use fuel maps, some people are willing to learn a bit more and learn to shortshift, and get faster for it.
Some people use traction control, some people are willing to learn a bit more and learn throttle control, and get faster for it.
However, this mentality would be possibly be labelled as "scrub" behaviour by the author of the book.
When racing in the rain this weekend, you may want to use traction control. Just experiment. Try a few laps. See if you really are quicker with a little or lot of traction control turned on. Otherwise you are just not using a tool that is there for the taking, and may improve your performance...
