So we've already done the qualifying for this race?

No we will be qualifying tonight, last week was just to confirm division placements

I thought last week's qualifying was for position not division

It was to sort out any outliers to make sure everyone was in the correct division

I'm gonna own up I'm pretty sure i got myself DQ'd from that race. Thanks @razor4797 for pointing it out but I've misread the rule on tyre allocation and have used 2 sets of softs (Also used the mandatory mediums). It makes sense now why no one else stopped twice. Sometimes you have to admit you've stuffed up and get on with it. I'll be back next week using only 1 set of softs. ;)

As for the race had pretty awful pace on my end. It appears it's going to be a very close midfield, Qualifying and the race was very close. Some of the racing including some moves i made were a little average but i expect it'll be better next week. @Twitchy don't know what happened on your end. I did try and leave you room.

Edit - I've read the rules again and i'd like to say the rule clearly states "One Set Voluntarily". It does NOT state "One Set Only". When you read it from that perspective that doesn't actually tell you that your tyre allocation is only limited to one set of softs during a race. The only rule with tyres that is clear is the fact the medium compound Tyre must be used because it is a mandatory tyre. The way the rule is written as of now is poorly written and can easily be misinterpreted.

Idk tbh I was in a lot of incidents, constantly being brake checked, pushed out wide, being left no room, not pointing anything out but I genuinely didn’t enjoy the race, being said I wasn’t a fan of the 3 cars that were chosen so it was never gonna be fun for me tbh, I’m probably going to sit this season out, I might rethink this and turn up for next round but right now It’s not the greatest of enjoyable races unfortunately

    @Motors560

    But it says 1 set.
Voluntary because you don't have to use softs... how is that you can misinterpret '1 set' as thinking you can use 2 sets?

Tyre Regs : Sports Mediums & Sports Softs (You must run Sports Mediums at least once, you may run Sports Softs if you wish, BUT ONLY ONCE)
[Sports Softs only for Sprint Round] [Start race on qualifying tyre]

Tough introduction to Div 1 last night. The racing was really intense for the first few laps, with a pretty big traffic jam from about 5th place back. I felt completely out of my depth with everything going on around me. I tried my best to stay with the mid-pack but I eventually dropped off when I went into the gravel at turn 1. The intensity was too much for me to handle. I tried to make up ground after my pitstop but I fell further and further behind because my brain was getting fried. That was in addition to the physical load which resulted in more errors and mistakes. I was buggered afterwards. I gave it everything and you can rest assured that I left nothing on the table.

Instead of complaining about the car, why don't you try and find solutions about how to drive it. Obviously for me it was a very enjoyable race, super long, so I had to manage the tyres, brought the Brake bias from 1 to 3 by the end of the first soft stint.

Dropped the Brand's Hatch specialist Noodles around lap 10, never looked back.

Some real hard racing out there last night.
Qualified dead last on mediums and stayed patient during the first stint. Pitted on lap 12 for the soft bois and began my charge, Got caught up in some really silly battles that shouldn't have happened that ultimately cost me a shot at a top 5 but had a killer scrap with @Noremac that left a smile on my face.

    See you all next week!

    1 set voluntary
meaning it is voluntary to use one set, nothing saying specifically that you can't use more than 1. Obviously most of us understood what you wrote, but upon looking at it from another perspective it does look easy to misinterpret.

To clarify... Brake checking is deliberately hitting the brakes in order to cause the person behind you to crash - if people were doing this during the race this then you can/should protest it and stewards will review it, I think it can result in a DQ

However if someone else brakes earlyish in order to take a corner or defend within reason, then that isn't brake checking

Just saying because I looked at the replay briefly last night, there were a few collisions but didn't see any brake checks

    Just my $0.02

If you catch up to a driver who is slower than you, chances are they may be braking earlier than you normally would.

The mark of a great driver is then being able to adjust so you don't slam into the back of them, and instead work out a clean pass making use of your greater speed
