Hi Hat, Yes, no worries. I am concerned about being in Div 3 again, especially considering I got my ass handed to me pretty much every race last season.
FYI for Sunday. We have more signups than space in 4 rooms. If you try to join your room and find it is full, please message your division chat on psn and we will find you space in an alternate room. In the event all 4 rooms are full, I will open a 5th room for all remaining drivers to join and qualify in. Once qualifying result screenshots are gathered we will finalise the divisions and then the team draft will be organised.
Would it be an idea to open a 5th room regardless of numbers... Big willow is a 72 - 75 second lap and with 16 on such a small track it could get a little...busy.
And my blistering speed was the reason I was behind you most races last season. Div 3 was two distinct Divisions last season and I didn't enjoy one bit of it. For those of us unable to do Div 1 times in Div 3 it was a long season.
That was a sign of the new R1Q system. We are finetuning it and hope it is a more even system this Season.
Not sure what you're getting at. But just to clarify my statement, I don't care if I lose. What I don't enjoy is knowing full well that the same drivers are going to destroy the rest of us each week. There was some races I felt like I was driving on an empty track. I rather come last after a good race than come first with no racing, otherwise what's the point of racing in the first place. No-one learns and no-one benefits.
My guess is that what Hat was alluding to, is that a lot of where you end up in a Div depends on many factors not least of which is the old driver-car-track combo. Some of us do better in grippy race cars than we do in slippery road cars and vice-versa. Sometimes your surprised by a car-track combo when you thought you were going to go badly. My early seasons in ROOZ were like your experience last season, lots of races trundling around by myself. I nearly chucked it in but stuck with it and found my place. My pace over the last couple of seasons has dropped simply due to a lack of practice due to real life matters and a bit of the above i.e. a car-driver-skill mismatch.
Pretty much this. @blunty was quicker than me in s12 in the mx5 only losing the div because of mistakes and a couple of penalties. I was near bottom in S13 because I hated the car, but yet finished 6th this season in a car/tracks I enjoyed. I even mixed it up with the big boys in the rain (I always look forward to some rain driving). A lot of it is horses for courses. And time in your life to practice
