Yeah how good does the ice driving experiences look! I've tried to win it twice haha.... I won the minor prize with the directing audi land of quatto commercial comp, which is how I did the level 1 / level 2 courses
@MINT_GTR, @Pringles_947 and myself teamed up to compete in the Xtreme Karting 200 enduro under the name of Raceonoz. rock up and this is what the track looks like. and we were told if we went off and put it in the water, that was the end of our race, nice to know for someone who hasn't really seen the track let alone drive it. then to top it off as im just about to go out for my second stint i get thrown a curve ball and told that the track direction would be change after the next driver change. here are a few shots of the weekend, mint is in the white helmet, I'm in the silver and black helmet and pringles is in the black helmet. if you want to see all of the photos head here: https://www.facebook.com/XtremeKartingQueensland/photos_stream?tab=photos_stream
Awesome. Making me jealous as with the arrival of my little girl I'm on a break. Looks like you had a good time. How'd you go?
Nice. Can't say I've spun under safety kart, but I certainly have on the warm up lap before the race started oh I also did after taking the win at Canberra, as was doing celebratory slides up the back straight and went a tad too far..
If you can't drift like me, you go to a wet and well dieseled skid pan, hire a GT86 and have some fun pretending you know what you're doing. I snuck a few clips of a VR SS commie in there as well. Old mate was driving it like it a maniac. Good fun and I highly recommend it.
No it's drifting and bogan driving, but they aren't allowed to advertise it as that. It is meant to be like a DD course but you just get out there and go nuts. http://skidcontrol.com.au/ for Brisbanites who are interested.
Nothing serious, just a bit of fun with some mates. A few sneaky beers on the way there and plenty of gum at the sign in/registration. Great laugh
I haven't been on this forum in years, but these threads always interest me. I remember this thread when it first started, always lots of cool stuff to watch in here! With the last Sydney 500 coming up, here's a video of when I drove an Aussie Racing Car there a few years ago. I also have a few videos of me driving a Cobra replica in the first few pages. So here's a few of that car from more recently. Lots of work done particularly to the handling and it now does some pretty respectable lap times. Winton Wakefield Park More videos on my youtube profile, won't post too much here! Especially being an outsider these days!

When things settle down a bit with the little one I will be keen to have a chat about what it takes to get involved with this
Cant say I've done any actual driving on a track (besides some hire karting when i was much younger), however I am a CAMS official and am a regular Flaggie for events at Barbagallo Raceway. I find that its the best way to to close to the action without actually being apart of it,and there's really nothing better than watching a car on its limits pull up in the braking zone into turn 7. Had some fairly exciting and scary on track moments as a flaggie such as the time a Formula 5000 caught fire next to my flag point (will upload some photos of it later on). Am looking to possibly get my CAMS drivers licence at some point, but it all depends on my finances at the time. Also started a new job recently at the local hire kart place here in Perth, so if any local Roozer's are interested I might be able to set something up in the near future.
A little disappointing with the break down in the Aussie car. Did you find out the cause? Also curious about the miss shifts? Needed more blip to get in gear was it? or another issue. Anyway nice vids.
