Its impossible to win the round if you place 4th in race 1. A 4th in race 1 and a win in race 2 yields 13 + 12.5 = 25.5 points. The winner of race 1 would already be on 25 and as there is not 16 entrants is guaranteed to get that extra 0.5 even if he DSC's in the 2nd.

Finished my settings and file setups for my Road America race video last night. Left the compy on overnight to render the 5Gig video file and went to bed with high spirits. Woke up this morning expecting the file to be ready for a youtube upload..... Wasn't what I was expecting. The video file was indeed ready to roll but the 5Gigs turned into a frightening 40Gigs lol! I've made a huge tiny mistake
BAHAHAHAHA!!!! Did someone try and render at 4k 120fps? Don't worry, from a retired video editor, it's very easily done to over render, just usually not by that much
I'm sure i set the output at 1080p and 30fps (my haupauge can't capture 60fps) . I'll have a squiz tonight, maybe i accidentally bumped a setting. Being a retired video editor, would you have any experience using Blender?
Sadly not, when it came to animations/3d on blender i had a friend of mine help me out That being said i rarely went down that path.... Curious, how are you rendering your videos, which program? Or are you rendering in blender? If its Adobe Premiere by any chance, i should be able to help you out with render settings. I can't see it being an issue with your PVR/Capture card recording settings...
Yeah im doing it through Blenders video editor mode. I'm poor so can't afford those other fancy programs. It seems very robust. Still render settings should be similar if not exact on other platforms. I didn't get much time this morning to see what i did wrong. Was hoping to just drop the file into youtube and head to work.
