Already looking like a close championship! Finchy getting a dream start too! Next weeks sprint races shall be interesting. Shake things up even more.
Hey boys Friday Night LMP series run by @Beau_Albert ... Still 6 spots open for this .... Gr8 cars Gr8 Tracks.. http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/starts-25-09-pcars-ps4-lmp1-sprint-series.1847/
For some reason I misread this and thought we were having a bye round last night, oh well went to bed early so could get up at 4am to watch the all blacks
Starting to get my head around the new video editor that I'm using. Way more complicated than what i was previously using. But the beaty of it is that it gives me a lot more finer control in everything. I also have a few ideas I want to try with future videos now I have this new found power. So hopefully that turns into better produced videos. I should finish the last tinkerings of my video setups tonight and hopefully start rendering the Road America race. Then the long wait to upload to youtube... argh Then you shall have my permision to watch my bad driving
For the sprint round, the track date will be 01/01/2015 with weather clear. 12:00 race start, progression on real. First race qual as per normal. 2nd race qual set to 10 mins. Podium from race 1 to remain in pits. All drivers are to complete an out lap and then a hot lap qualifying then pull to the side of the circuit at the end of the front straight. The host will be the last to exit the pits, and once they have completed their hot lap the race will start. No redo's, if you cause your lap to be invalidated you might start behind the race 1 podium so be careful. Give yourselves plenty of room for the hot lap, and if you do mess up your lap please park to the side of the circuit so as not to spoil anyone else's lap.
Question @Ad2mny I thought the 2nd race was going to be a reverse grid of the 1st race results and we all would qualify accordingly. Is this still happening? Or does everyone get to qualify except race 1 winner?
That's hard to control @Noxrai would need to rely on some people doing rubbish laps I don't know an effective way to perform that
Yes but im enquiring if everyone else has to qualify based on their first race position. That is: 2nd place will need to qualify 2nd to last slowest 3rd place will need to qualify with a 3rd to last slowest time Etc until mid pack. (People that got a mid position or lower in the first race) Midpacks will qualify normally Hope that makes sense.
No, everyone qualify as normal except 1st 2nd and 3rd from race 1. A staged rolling start could work but we will trial that in a future event.
It be easy to setup. You just let the race winner start quali first. He does a forcibly slow lap. I'm talking like 3-4 min. Too make things easy for everyone else. Then the next grid place will do their quali lap. Getting onto the pit straight, each person will have to slow down to roughly beat the last time by 10 sec. Continue doing this until we have the grid we want.
Full point race 1, half points race 2, add those 2 together and there's your results. Championship points will be allocated as per normal based on overall results.
Not hard if only one car is allowed on track at a time. Good communication and sensible drivers will make it work
