Well done @Crimj1985 , great win bud. Funny, think about a million different pit stop possibilities all week, constantly checking the -/- gauge the first half of the race, only to get bright blue skies Random weather is awesome
The weather sure fooled me, I did very little practice but what I did was in the wet whenever I jumped into a room with anybody. In the race I was slow to get up to speed and qualified near the back and fell further back over the first few laps. I started to get into a rhythm after about five laps and at about the ten lap mark started to gain on those in front and keep the gap to the leader steady. I decided I was staying on the hards until he rain came. After staying on them until lap 25 where I had been up to second place but then had dropped back to fourth as the leaders caught me again on the soft tyres, I realised the rain probably wasn't coming and I needed to pit so did so for softs. That dropped me well back again but with fresh soft tyres I was able to come from 30 seconds behind to 14 seconds behind by the finish. I made up a couple places with a couple of good clean passes and a couple of guys had to make 2nd stops so I finished a fast closing 5th, I was quite surprised by that after qualifying 3 seconds off the pace.
With two rounds remaining @incey only needs 28 points to seal the championship, a 3rd and a 4th would be enough. I think we may as well hand him the trophy now as over the ten ROOZ league races he has run in he has never scored below 2nd, taking seven wins and three 2nds.
It has been a great start to his ROOZ campaign. The practice makes it easier but he is very consistent and a well deserved winner. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next season and how he fares. He will be up at least one division if not two. I will have to crunch the numbers.
In the mean time I have the challenge of beating him on Tuesdays, he did me over last Tuesday and I'll be out to get home ahead of him tomorrow night. The various versions of the Nurbring this week will be very challenging and I have switched from the Evora to the RX7 for that because the RX7 is less frightened of kerbs and grass.
Definately said crimj on my screen. I could only see 9 people. Thisll be my last gt6 season. Sick of these issues. Last season it cost me 4 races. Pcars cant be this bad.
