Going for the jimmy Johnson car which appears available,...what ever number car it is,,, Chevy I believe.
I'm running a little late, so if Arakasi has a room up, join that first. If we encounter issues, I'll tell everyone to join mine.
Well done @incey great win ( that pom can tune a nascar . Race didn't go my way but thanks @arakasi for setting it up had some great racing in practice and took some time of my original tune
that was epic eh. 125 laps and a bunch of us finished on the lead lap. i've gotta credit that win to the help from @Jaycie . without him i would have never caught the flying @emmo46 . i had a bunch of wall touches but nothing major and still did about 11 000 lapps on my own. much thanks to the people that gave me some draft or a bump here and there. i am stoked with the win. really.
Well done @incey on a great win, ducks can fly. Congrats on the podium @emmo46 and @bmx_mtb_boy . I will do a write up when I get home from work eventually
125 laps. One semi major incident between the entire field. Credit to all there. Congrats @incey and @emmo46 and all the others. Really should of got a tune and had a bit of practice. Least now i know how much slower a stock car is too a tuned one. Remember when you get in your real car today it has more then one pedal and also turns right.
If only I hadn't looked in the mirror on the final corner. I grazed the wall and lost enough speed for Incey to get by.
such close racing for the win & for 3rd, the diff strategies played out really well. my cockup of my first pitstop took me out of it but had a fabulous drafting session with Bry to get back into a chance for the final podium step a great nights racing, cheers @arakasi- for organising this event
When we do this again I have to figure out why I was slow on the straights. My car was as quick or quicker than pace setter Cola's car but 1/2 a second slower over the lap.
What a great race. I had a fantastic night, even though my race didn't go quite to plan, and from feedback it seems everyone had a blast, which was the whole purpose. Glad to see everyone there to make a big grid, thanks a lot guys Got a great start and got amongst a small breakaway group with Nige, Jay, Incey and BMX and was having a blast, even though it was so intense. You could see and feel everyone trying to work together to keep the break, all the while trying not to trip anyone up, (That was so good guys, cheers for that),but was not to last as the pack behind us got in our slip and then it got even more full on, with everyone keeping it as clean as possible in such a big pack. Then the big one happened. Was a completely textbook "racing incident" which grabbed 4 or 5 of us and spat us out a long way behind the group of 5 or so that were leading at that stage. Unlucky for us all, but , thats racing. I then followed that up with a Speeding penalty (2 frikin K's an hr) on my first stop, came out somewher near Nige , who i had a fantastic drafting session with, which got me in striking distance of the small pack ahead (awesome @Nigel Burley ) but then i had to make my 2nd Pit stop, where i missed Pit entry point, which spat me out with a drive through. I'm sure there are many hard luck stories amongst the whole field, so well done on everyone for keeping a great vibe, and continuing to enjoy the race. I rekon if we run that race 5 times , there could quite possibly be 5 different podiums , there were so many guys just 'on it', plus lots of variables as well as a pinch of luck. Thats not taking anything away from winner or podium, you guys had the game plan and speed to go with it. Well Done @incey , @emmo , @bmx_mtb_boy Gotta say thanks to @Bryan_F for great hosting , and posting the results photo (I'm gonna have to learn how to do that soon) Hope to see you all on the Speedway again, Cheers, Scotty Which to do next :- - NASCARs at INDY ( 400mile = 600+ km ) - Formula GT's at INDY (INDY 500km ) Around the same date as the real one - NASCARs at Motegi (would be less lonely solo running guaranteed)
