Thanks for turning up boys and making for a great night of fun, close racing. I am very happy at how the 'handicaps' turned out for all the divisions. Really did level the playing field dramatically. Sorry for the delay with final points guys. hopefully will get it sorted ASAP.
From my perspective you did a great job matching the cars, the Div 4 car had enough edge for us to dominate race one but wasn't up to the job in race two, overall the matching was near perfect.
Race 1 was hard, it wasn't possible to contend for the lead and it was extremely hard to defend in a battle due to the handling weekness of the golf, Monaco was good though as it was more about limiting errors then the cars, not much you can do in a series like this at Monaco though as its heavily reliant on your ability to be consistent rather then all out pace.

Pass on Scotty at turn 4. Pushed him wide onto the grass and he lost positisions and momentum. Should have been redressed. Tested drive through times last night and being genorous it was 11 seconds added to your race time. Very unlucky mate as it put you only half a second behind Scotty but cost you two points and overall lead. There was another incident at Monza but it didn't affect the other driver at all. So left it as is.

Just to be clear... I didn't protest this. Wasn't concerned about what was right or wrong given there is no sheep stations on offer. Damn I want a sheep station. Series 3 prize idea mods???
I know it might not be much but there was something up for grabs. Entry to the ROC for season 1. And yes, Scotty did not protest this. It was a clear breach of ROOZ driving etiquette. I wonder if you would have the same opinion if it had happened to you
I'm happy with the ruling, I trust TB judgement on it, even though I didn't save the replay. I know if I was hard done by I would feel like a penalty is in order.
You mean if I was in scottys position? I can honestly say after watching the replay, if I got that tap I wouldn't have thought twice about it; I only race for fun though, I don't take it that seriously. Still, not worth a penalty or even a protest IMO. Scotty driving off the road at the right-hander before the bridge cost him a lot more than the little tap he got from Mustafur. I thought this event was all just a bit of fun. I didn't know it was ROOZ event etiquette for the host to review the race and hand out penalties afterwards. Isn't that what the protest system is for?
It was a bit of fun, but at the same time there was something to play for. And any race run by or organized within ROOZ should be clean and fair. If it was just for a laugh then the points would be for nothing. As to the host reviewing the race, I'm sure the div captains are reviewing Silverstone as we speak to make sure no unfair advantage was gained. At the end of the day the pass was not in the spirit/guidelines/rules, word it how you like, but not what ROOZ is all about. Lets put it behind us and look forward to the next few events leading up to and providing an opportunity to qualify for the Race of Champions.
After the success of the FF Fanatics races, who would be interested in upping the bar slightly? Thinking this time of FR Fighters, 1130kg - 455pp variable Bhp front engine, rear drive race/touring cars. Same event layout, somewhat quick race on a slightly longer circuit followed by a reverse grid at another. Initial testing sees a wide range of cars to choose from, early indications see 10 in the mix. Would be great if I can get it to 12 and get two cars per Division, that way you get a choice of what to run, no matter how small a choice it is. Will aim for a couple of weeks before season 2 kicks off. Does a Wednesday still suit everyone?? After this I might revisit FF albeit with a higher PP, then further down the track another FR again with higher pp also. Who knows, we might even take to an MR event and a 4WD one.
