So are you asking I open up tuning for the HTO series to allow the R8 in???? would be very very difficult do at this late stage. I have in mind something for the next season of the HTO series that would allow tuning of suspension and drivetrain etc but not power if this still qualifies those for ROC. So at this stage of proceedings I would say no to the R8 TBW
I really didn't want to complicate the strategies too much and I picked the tyres closest to real world lap times.
^^^what he said. still running the BMW in the hto series. Asking if you wanted to team up for this one.
OOOOHHHH I see... the Pro-state boys who are teaming up will actually be racing from the same rig...they all live in and around mackay and get together on a Friday night to try and help kart keep it off the walls and out of the gravel traps. This is the way I see it but I may be wrong....
Could we adopt a rolling start system like the real thing?!? Where the first lap we all roll off the grid and assemble into single file per quali order until we exit the chase then double file. Odds on left, evens on right, field is speed controlled by pole position at this point (say 100km/h) then once pole position hits the start/finish line its all GO!!! EDIT: Maybe the new BMW safety car could make an appearance for someone to control the field until the double file point.
You know I have always thought of this happening in HTO series....Could we get 16 cars/guys on the same page but??? If I were on the pole ..... never gonna happen in this field...I would want to be on the right....pole sitters choice if this gets implemented
I think if the procedure was clearly laid out then I dont see why not. Extra care would have to be taken at the double file point as cars would be in close proximity. (especially if full damage is on) Good call on pole sitters choice too
Why not, I was thinking about doing this also. The spacing between the cars would have between 1 and 2 car lengths approaching the line.
Just looking at forming a team of two both using the Phoenix Racing R8. Will help the ballast imposed if we do. Up to you. @warrior2167 Put at least me down as confirmed in the Phoenix R8
You guys can take your time, Car selection doesn't need to be locked in untill 11 59 January 31. Just so everyone is on the same page, don't peform an oil change when you buy the car. Excluding the 15th Anniversary cars, the stock power levels are 508(BMW) 528(Audi) 570(Merc) and I think 599 (Nissan). The cars won't drop in power for the whole race. So just to confirm, tb and Vardz, will you guys be paired up using the same rig ?
This sounds awesome, wish I didn't live out in the sticks but so i could join up with someone else if only X4rotorsploxX still raced regularly
Sorry @VARDZ @warrior2167 seems I miss read / misunderstood the team thing. No we won't / cant race out of the same rig. Might put the call out to the boys in my area though. @SPL Racing @Killercarlcox69 you boys interested? Otherwise I'm happy to run the 10,800 seconds by myself.
