hey, just seen this event and i just love custom tracks, i already do an event on thursday nights but i will submit a leave form to cover my absence.
That means to say I was pretty close, I can give it another go and increase the length of the main straight. With these tracks, the main straight dictates everything.
@stucar17 Any news on your track layout? @KoAStR or @Clevohead Would one of you like to also submit a layout?
Still working on making the Blacktown Circuit as perfect as possible, to get these as close as possible involves a huge amount of trial and error and often luck.
Sure thinking something around Mundaring Weir Road around the Perth hills could be good. How do I give you a layout, as a google earth KMZ file?
Screenshot the area and trace the layout you want, similar to what emmo has done. I can make the track off that data. Ideally, if you want it done to proper scale, make sure there is a relatively straight stretch of road that is at least 600m long. However, if the game's track width is less than 8.5m, the pit straight will be 300m.
OK I will trace it out in google earth and screenshot. So how long are you looking for the circuits to be?
Cool glad you like it.. here's a snazzier view just for fun For scaling purposes, the longest straight is 2.0 km from tangent of each corner. In the first image that's the northern straight, or in this one the rear right. Full loop is 9.6 km.
If you could mate, are there any straights that are close to 300 meters? Or at least any where you can tell that it is 300 m?
roughly, the straight after the swan brewery (orange looking building, bottom left of image) is most likely the one nearest 300m
