GT6 [COMPLETED] The "What the hell are these cars doing in a racing game" cup.

There are some cars in this game that just seem to be in there because they have the license for it. These things are either super heavy stupidly overpowered barges or stupid little sh!t-boxes that cant even get over 100km/h. None of them were designed with corners in mind.

I'm thinking of running a one-night event consisting of 4-5 15 minute sprints. Some car ideas are-

Dodge Ram
That Superbird thingy
2CV/Daihatsu midget
Jay Leno's Tank car
Any of those stupid old Volkswagen thingo's

You get the idea. The big yank tanks will be on low grip tyres so you can prove what a real man can do around corners, and the little cars will be on little twisty road courses. This is all in fun, and should not be taken totally seriously, however we will do points and extra points for the longest drift measured in the replay.

Well after watching that, the midgets are locked in lol.

Looks like we got an event. Let me tweak some of the cars and sort the tracks and we'll work out when we can hold it.

3 drink minimum, mandatory fun.

Love the tank car. Used to have some great fun races in that around High Speed Ring in GT5. Drift machine too.

Haven't tried it on the hi speed ring but it runs on the Indy oval OK.

I could have my arm twisted... We did a race in the Midgets ages ago, fully maxed out with RS tyres and it was bonkers. Always thought they would suit Monaco. Mic's on, catch up on and bear on!! Just depends on the night - I hardly have time to drive home before I have to go back to work atm. I am taking the whole long weekend off though, so that Friday night could work???

All races 15 min duration. Qualify for first race then reverse grid remaining races.

Race 1. Get Trucked.
Grand Valley East. Sports Hards. PP limited to 417. Usual aids except TCS off.
We're spoiled for choice it seems in the monster ute class. Toyota Tacoma was also tested but is actually not bad to drive so will not make it into this race. The Ram is 4wd but not in a good way. Here are your choices:





The Chevy is the slowest, and doesn't like turning the most out of the 3. Also you cannot change paint or wheels.

Race 2. Ich lieb kübelwagen!!
Autumn Ring Mini. Sports Hard. No Aids.
What a beast!!


Race 3. Gonna need a bigger boat.
High Speed Ring. Sports Hards. Usual aids except TCS off.
So much understeer, then so much oversteer! Will the track be wide enough to run side by side? Who cares?


Race 4. Vertically Challenged.
London. Sports Hard. All aids very off.
This one should be neck-a-neck all the way. You might have to slow down at some stage, but it won't be much.


Race 5. Beastiality.
Nurburgring GP/D. Comfort Softs. Usual aids except TCS off.
Here's the drifter. 5 points for longest "double pegger" drift. Single spinners don't count just like real life and you will be booed mercilessly. If it ends off the track or in the wall it don't count either, and only girls do burn outs in the grass. Initiate the drifts with one rear wheel on the ripples/track edge/just raw power for a big thumbs up. Oh and don't forget, it's a race too!


Points will be as per Sunday league, with bonus points for longest drift in the cars that can do them. Points also for fastest lap. Tyre and fuel consumption off. Date to be confirmed but I like Anons suggestion of the Friday of the Australia Day long weekend. Don't go practicing the wheels off the cars, it's all in fun and the points are really only for bragging rights.
