DIVISION 3

Great racing tonight, enjoyed it heaps.

Qualified 2nd behind Holden, dragged him off the line and beat him into turn 1, but ran too deep, and got a bit slidey losing heaps of spots, ended up back in 9th. Started fighting my way back through the field and caught up to holden & rico when they had moments later in the race. Got into 2nd but Holden just had too much and i couldn't close any further, finished about 2.5s behind.

Race 2, started in 11th (second last), again got a great start and passed a few on the straight, made it around turn 1 much better this time and was in 7th. Some more great midfield battles with everyone, just kept a steady pace and made my way further up the grid. Moved into second about half way through and set about catching Rico. He pulled a good gap and I had to up the pace to catch him. Doing this basically destroyed my front tyres, but we had a great battle over the dying laps, it was fantastic. We swapped the lead several times, and at the end of the penultimate lap I got him at the chicane, but had no turning grip and ran a little wide in the final hairpin and dipped a wheel into the sand which scrubbed a bit of speed so Rico overtook me before the start/finish line. I was very close behind but I took the wrong side and Rico's car blocked my view of the braking marker and I went WAY too deep and into the sand trap. This allowed Holden to sneak past, and from there I just finished the last lap to finish 3rd.

Congrats to Holden & Rico for the race wins and Holden for the round win. I think I may have snatched fastlest lap for race 2 which is a bit of a bonus at least.

Not sure if overall results are right so I'll get carn to check them fellas but I think they're right. Also not sure if we give 2 bonus points for best lap in both races or just overall I'll get carn to confirm disturboed.

BOOOO! Hahaha, nah only kidding, I knew it was for fastest lap over the 2 races, so well done to Aza, what a cracker lap. At least some consolation for the result in Race 2 for him.

I'm going for the pit. It's just a question of when.

Not having a good start to the season at all. Disconnected round 1. Missed 1 race in round 2. This time i had "To race start: 17 secs" stuck on my screen all race. Because that was up, the count down at the start didnt come up and i missed the start. Then it came time to pit and it never took over once i was in pit lane. I stopped for a while thinking "what the hell is going on?" then i started to drive and had to make my own way through pit lane with the camera looking back at the front of my car. Said i had 3rd on my screen.. but i couldnt see gary and apparently he beat me haha. Atleast i've got points on the board now

Round 3: Tokyo

Qualified in 4th (i was expecting a bit lower to be honest, i just couldn't quite get a good rhythm on this track).

Race start, again another Alfonso start and got up into third and was alongside 2nd going into the funnel at first corner, so I backed off to avoid collision. Made it up into 2nd halfway round and followed holden for a lap or two, but he had some major pace.

Just couldn't quite get a rhythm again and starting sliding about a bit hitting walls and such, so got passed a few times.
Ended up back down mid-pack and was battling with a few different guys. Got into 5th and started closing in on 4th. Plan was to go to end of lap 10 then pit, tyres were doing reasonably ok to stick to that, but then I disconnected on lap 9 i think it was.

So, 0 points round for me, but I just couldn't quite get this track. So glad it's over. Onto next week!

Yeah was a weird race. A lot of people couldn't see others (I could only see 3 others), so was a bit hard to work out who came where. One thing for sure though was that Holden boy was very quick. Congrats on the win mate.

I didn't pit and I think my right rear was down to about 5% at the end.

Still good fun, but not as good as when problem free.

Ya, tell me about it. Can't get it here at the moment. I'm running on Telstra Elite wireless at the moment, which is the best I can get, but sometimes the upload speed is a problem making me glitch for everyone else. Our house building has been delayed (AGAIN), so we might be moving to a new rental in the short term, so if we do, hopefully can get ADSL there. Cmon NBN, where da heck are ya? :lol:

I was watching you at the end there, and you slammed a couple of walls real good in the last couple laps! :mrgreen:
