Absolutely, SO different to Monza in the wet. Did a bit of practice last night and hit a few 12.8's, but mainly hitting low-mid 13's at the moment. Of course Mint & Mustafur hit low 11's (so there's certainly plenty more time to be found out on track) LOL
Bah can do each corner well individually but can I string a lap together...? Keep trying to put power down too early and then taking lock off the wheel to stop it over steering and plough straight into the gravel with more understeer than it had at Monza. Consistent? What's that?
Less is more Ad. Just like at Monza in the wet you have to wait just that little bit longer before hitting the gas. I felt a little the same initially on Monday night when I did some laps but last night it felt alot better. I managed to hit a 12.5 with several high 12's but ave is probably low-mid 13's at the moment. And some of the ripples are nasty!
Having an H-pattern box seems to help. I've noticed some guys dropping straight into 1st gear on the hard stops and the car pulls up much quicker. Harder to do with a sequential box on the DFGT.
Hmm, I've got the G27 with the 6 shifter, doesn't work on the Macca. Thought my gear stick was broken, but drove a normal car and it worked???
Every time I drop into 1st (when braking hard) the back end wants to step out too much on me - perhaps I should just muck around with the brake bias....but I haven't found it too bad with the DFGT using the paddle buttons. Still hitting the high 12's to low 13's OK but perhaps I'll try using 1st and see if this helps any.
