Thought i would make a topic for people thinking about making a series and wanted to get some feedback on it. Im thinking if the econobox cup goes well i would make a second series of it but this time only with the Ford Focus and Vauxhal tigra. Reason being i could make a mockup serie called the 4 banger Supercars(4cyl versionof V8 Supercar series) where the Focus represents the Falcon and the Tigra represents the Holden(Vauxhall is the UK version of holden) and we have teams in the colour of the real teams of the past. Such as yellow and red wheels for the shell falcon and red and white wheels for HRT etc. How does that sound?
I've got several ideas floating around in my head, some one off nights like the Pussycat sprint night and the german on the mount ( especially now we have the real mount). Also I would like to do another world tour series with some of the new tracks. I'll try to schedule them in later in the year. I also like tour series with different cars. There may be other PP points where there are a number of cars with similar performance, around 450PP for example where the Commodore and Monaro could be used against some other similar cars.
Mustangs vs Monaro's on the hill would be pretty cool. Might need to add ballast to the Monaro to even it up a little.
Could even make a little series if there was enough interest. There are plenty of v8 rwd cars that can be entered for a bit of variety.
An open wheel series on short tracks to avoid hitting the limiter on straights, forgot the name of the little bugger was it the bullet? Oh and how about a pickup series as well...
Well I know for sure there will be a 3rd Origin series, 2nd Halloween event and another 240RS event coming from me, though I'll definitely be coming up with some new ideas.
Floated an idea with a few guys in room last night. Along the same lines as Mustafurs econobox cup, but just a single race/night using race cars like the polo cup car, mmr cup car, civic race cars...... there is loads to choose from. Would have to test to see how they compare to set a pp limit or limit faster guys to the slower car like in Anons k car event from GT5. Thoughts??? (I need a way into ROC)
Not sure at this stage, I don't like the stock setup and its hard to get people committed to a tuning series.
I have had an idea for a series since late GT5 but I never have the time to implement it. It is for Classic Japanese cars. Original idea is for 2 classes. Class A: Nissan 240ZG (HS30) '71 Toyota 2000GT '67 Class B: Mazda 11 OS (L10B) '68 Mitsubishi GALANT GTO MR '70 Toyota CELICA 1600GT (TA22) '70 Isuzu Bellett 1600 GT-R '69 Nissan SILVIA (CSP311) '65 Would want it to be non-tuning, and hopefully have close racing via use of the power limiter. Ideally, class A would be faster on tracks like Fuji, whereas if possible class B would be faster on tsukuba or autumn ring mini. Was thinking to limit tracks to Japanese or GT Original circuits. Comfort tires of course. What do you guys think?
