I believe the rule is two wheels must be inside the white line regardless of rumble strip.
If no lines then rumble strip is acceptable or if the stipulated line is too enroaching on the racing line

I've found the latest patch to be quite good where it comes to track limits. It takes into account if you gained time by cutting track limits.
If your lap gets invalidated, you should probably not do the same thing next time around.
If you get a penalty you definitely gained way too much.

It should be the white line, if you want to keep it real as possible. People just abuse it....

The issue is with the corner in question they don't even stay on the ripple strip in real life. See the 30s mark.

Ok guys for the purpose simplicity for the qualification process, two wheels must remain within the white lines for the full length of the circuit. Please ensure you have a replay saved of your best lap and can be submitted to me via psn/YouTube.

maybe you guys should go crazy and say that at every corner you must run all 4 wheels over the white line! Imagine that race!

Look, a little wide/cut once or twice in a 30odd lap race is sometimes unavoidable. As long as no advantage is gained it will be ignored. What we are talking about here (I'm pretty sure we are anyway) is a qualification lap. There is no reason for you to run wide/cut the track as there is no other vehicles obstructing/pushing you. If you can't take the corner without running wide/cutting, adjust your speed ffs. These are the regulations, everyone must do the same. If you can't go as fast as some through certain corners without illegally extending the track/cutting the corner, then they are better than you and you do not belong in that class. I don't know how much plainer I can put it guys. Stay in the white lines, please.

I can see where your coming from CAGM , but the thing is NAS cars have a locked rear end or Detroit locker just like a V8 super cars , so they can't help but go over that line .
How ever other class's stay in the limit of the ripple strip , if an Indy took that line it would be in the fence pretty quick .
Adelaide is another track where they fly over the ripple strip but again other class's stay in the limit of the track .
For me , I'm going to stick with the ROOZ rules on this , it is hard to stay in the track limit on that part of the track on Project Cars , but we have to stick to the rules .

Oh I was just trying to make a point for the sake of making a point. I've always found the published ROOZ rules of at least 2 wheels on the ripple strips to be more than fair.
