    Ok, my 2 cents.
V8, my first choice, let's face it, it's been close now for a few seasons, let's just do it. Would be a shame if this car never gets across the line for a league season. Once you get the hang of how to drive it, it's fantastic. Yes you do have to drive it, just like what a real supercar would be like. It's fast enough and would provide awesome racing.
Sierra, second choice, not bad, also would provide good racing, is fast enough and requires you to drive it, never a dull moment.
And the rest in random order
Open wheelers and lap, found all of these lifeless and boring.
Escorts, my God what a handful, not a fan, to slow.
Mustang, no thanks, maybe in a season or 2, no where near as good as the Ginetta GT4 was, faster in a straight line slower in the corners.
Ginetta G40, great to drive on the limit but slow, probably too slow to satisfy the majority of drivers.
However, in saying all that above, my original assessment of the Ginetta GT4 was that it was a boring car to drive and cutting laps on your own would be boring as bat guano. For me, that proved to be wrong. Some other cars we have had over the seasons that "will give us awesome racing" did not quite live up to expectations. Whatever is selected will please some and not others, thats life, get over it. At the end of the day we will all be driving the same car, whatever gets the nod, so let's just do it.

    Sierra=4 cylinders. Falcon=8 cylinders.
Using simple maths, 8>4. Falcon is 2 X better than the sierra :p

    ok guys,

After much consideration, the car for season 6 is the Sierra Cosworth RS500. Its the car that seemed to be in the top 2 picks for most drivers, so short of not being able to please everyone, this seemed like a reasonable choice.

While it was a close thing between it and the V8, Ads and i both thought that it was fast, the car handles very well on all tracks, and the fact that its little bit of turbo lag kept every lap different was a big win. Even in last night's races there were passes being made when the car behind managed to spool it up a fraction earlier and there were heaps of runs at other cars. The brake distance is still quite long also, which 'should' provide a lot of passing opportunities as well. The car is sprung quite soft, so it rides the bumps very well, especially when the tires are up to temp.

TURBO LAG : I have found that once i did a few laps in this car, keeping the revs up was so important so it didnt bog down on corner exit. Also, short shifting on SOME corners seemed to hit the sweet spot so there was no lag, and you could modulate wheel spin easily with the throttle.

TIRES AND REGS : At this stage i have only run on the non tune tire option, and cant tell you what that is ! (i assume its Race soft). Never the less, we will get the regs and wear rates to you in the next week, with the track list to be announced at the meet and greet on the 5th Feb. We will look to have a compulsory stop again, and we 'may' bump up the wear rates to make things a little more interesting. We will be able to have a night race / day race, and will also look at rain options as well.

Also, the only adjustment is brake bias. Means we are all on the most even of playing fields. FYI i have adjusted the BB up 2 on the front and it seemed to brake a little better again. (started fiddling with that last night)

The ONLY thing drivers will have to be aware of and get right (will need to do a little prac before season start) is getting it off the start line. We will give a rundown on the best way to do it in the next few days, V8 mentioned using the clutch, but i dont have my head around that just yet.

Wishing you all the best for the season guys, time to get some laps up in it !

How do you usually get off the start? I have always just had it redlining in neutral then throw it in first.

My hold the clutch in, put it in First, get the RPMs to where the Max-Torque is produced and then dropping the Clutch doesn't work :( Definitley a tricky one

ive found in this car, redlining and dumping just gives mass wheelspin, then when you ease of, it bogs lol

i found last night that not reving it till green stopped it from bogging, so the initial jump is down to reflexes....V8 said he uses the clutch, i haven't tried that yet.

With or without traction control? I'm guessing without?
