ah KoAStR when you download car mods if you you dont download car tempplates is that why the cars dont appear
No, templates are only required if you wish to creat your own paint jobs. If someone you are racing with has created their own paint job, and you haven't downloaded it, the car won't appear. That's why leagues in rFactor release 'skin packs' before events. If you are racing public rooms you will just have to put up with it unless you can contact the particular user and get them to send you their skin. But this shouldn't be happening if you are only racing single player (in game AI). If it is, there is something missing or corrupt in the particular mod you have downloaded.
Also, the Temp Car (grey box) can appear if you use "All tracks and vehicles" mode - some mods don't work properly in this mode, so if you want to have a race with a mod that shows up as a temp car, go into the Player menu, then to racing series and a list of installed mods should show up.
now if you download a mode and it is listed in the series in the rfactor game and and no cars what does that meen and also if you want to deleit it from the list in rfactor and it does not appear in addremove programs how do you do that beacause it seems those mods are slowing the game down can any one help
