Season 11 - Division 3

Anyone hear form Ad2, he didn't show last night. I hope all is well.

Yeah I'm all good emmo thanx, was delayed getting home Sunday night and didn't get back till nearly 11. Had done plenty of laps practice and even had the pit exit down pat lol. Oh we'll, pissed I missed this one but I'll be there next round

Great, I did miss you. you're one of the reliable ones. Close is running away with this, even though he had a bad night he still increased his Championship lead!!

Was a frustrating night that ended rather well for me.

Did some practice earlier in the day, was setting low 48's consistently and a few laps in the 47's with a best of 47.3
Felt really happy with that and settled in for a half decent race.

Jumped into Moon's room, watched emmo do a couple of laps and then got on track for some more practice. Straight away, I was struggling to get into the high 48's... WTF!!!

Managed a 48.2 in qually that was only good enough for 3rd. Great lap by S_Close of a 47.6 (I think)... Well done.

Decided to take it easy from the start, the guy with the least amount of mistakes was going to do well.... Didn't last long, got to the first right-hander (turn 4) and slid onto the grass... running last

Caught up to the tail end through the bus-stop and made a couple of spots, got to turn 4 on lap 2 and did the same bloody thing... ARGH!!!! Caught up again, did the same bloody thing on lap 3 and slapped myself in the head. Finally got that corner right on lap 4 and settled down to put in some fast laps... Venda and Serg were long gone, so set my sights on emmo... Only problem, T B and Dan were in the way and weren't going to let me through easily.

Finally got through them but couldn't shake Dan and when everyone peeled into the pits on 11 or 12, I was leading the race... (Yippeeeee)

I pit after 13 and thought with the drafting, I wouldn't need the full 25 litres I was going to put in, so dumped in 21 litres and came out of the pits in 2nd spot. Thats when I thought I really screwed up and short fueled, so spent the next 11 laps trying to conserve fuel, while trying to catch Venda and keep the swarming pack behind me at bay.

Got to the last lap and as I came onto the oval, I cruised down to the bus-stop at 200 Kph, rolled trough there as the fuel gauge turned red, then thought... Get up to full speed and roll over the finish line... I made it, second and pretty happy.

Good racing guys, had a ball in the middle there with Dan and T B Williams.

Div 3 guys, join in on Mustafurs M3 enduro next Monday. It is going to be structured so we have a chance of running with and maybe beating the div 1 and 2 guys. Look here M3 enduro

I had some spare time to tabulate the fastest race laps from Daytona just out of curiosity. The interesting things are the overlaps, between Div 2 an 3 especially and the remarkable effort by Venda and Anon to get right amongst the Div 1 times.

Yup, I can confirm that, even I managed a 1:24.8 in a practice run yesterday. Tyres hardly degrade at all, still managed a 25.9 on lap 15

I hope to make it tonight, but gotta work today, rumours of a 12 hour shift, so don't know if I'll be home or not. Will let ya's know as soon as I do.

Sorry guys, not going to make it tonight, still at work for a couple more hours, then a meal and shower, too hard seeing as I have to be up at 5am again tomorrow.

Will use this as my drop worst round. Sucks, wasn't going too bad around Madrid either.
