Season 3 - Radical SR3-RS Tuning Thread

What do you guys have set for cambers around this track. I have f 1.3 and r 0 but when I had rear at 1 the temp was heaps lower just wondering what's the way to go?

Yeah I'm leaning towards running 1 as well you loose a little down the back straight but you greatly improve consistency. Can always run 0 on the rear in qualifying and change it back to 1 for the race.

im still on 0 aswell, and im finding my tyres sit at around 100, but once i spin they go red and it takes a bit for them to get back down. just gonna have to be careful this week to keep it straight and my temps should be fine.

What speeds are you guys hitting at 130R?
When I was riding along some of the guys last night, the game was telling me 140ish km, but I couldn't get anywhere near that even when playing with the gearing.

im up to 142km, then drops to around 136 through the corner.

Any changes to your gearing?

nah nothing. stock gearing, only changed final drive

I'm getting 234-236 without draft 142+ with it. If you have your gearing set to 3.90 you won't go above 231 regardless of how little aero you run. Best gearing ratio is 3.65.

Pretty sure I tried 3.65 last night as well and couldn't get above 233km I think?

What's your rear aero set to?

Whatever it is at default.. 9?

I try not to mess around with settings and just learn to maximise the car first.

Take the rear aero down to 5 and you'll see a reduction in lap time on that change alone. You should be able to hit 140 by the end of the straight, as long as you get out of the last corner well.

Sure reducing aero down to 5 will give you a tenth or 2 in sectors 1 and 3 but will see you lose a good second in sector 2. 1 and 8 would appear to be the optimal settings for me.

1 and 5 is what I'm saying, or am I misunderstanding you?

Pretty limited overtaking in sec 2 though.

Yes and his point is that you won't be able to use it unless your in clean air.
