Haha me too. My engineer told me half way into last lap you were slowing and probably out of fuel.

Spent plenty of time on my setup on the weekend and it paid off. After doing 2 flying laps on my qualifying set, I felt fortunate to have Seth and Jono battling behind me as I didn't want to push too hard in the 1st stint. Pitted after 9 with front left getting well worn, on with the hards. From there it was focusing on being very smooth, maintaining a consistent pace without stressing the tyres. Seth got passed me on his second set of softs but I was more worried about Jono as he was obviously on a 2 stop like me. Pitted after 32 with the front left pushing 60%, then it was just more of the same, smooth brakes, throttle and wheel to the finish.

I must have had a poor connection last night. Nearly everyone's car kept slowing down and speeding up. I almost took out fastboy because of this.

Despite the turn 2 incident, I had a decent 1st stint. No one was catching me, so I was able to stay on the softs up to lap 16. Pitted for mediums and my plan was to go as far as I could. Again I had a decent stint, but on lap 27 I nailed the inside wall coming out of turn 3 and damaged my wing. From it went downhill, tyres were hurting with the damage and the car balance on the hards was so oversteery that I couldn't keep zharvs behind. The VSC gave me a chance to try something. I was hoping to at least get back to 5th, but jut fell short at the end.

Congrats benny, your pace throughout was exceptional.

How good were the hard tyres last night, the racing was great on them felt like old gt6 league times on a tyre that wasn't a cheesy mess, I wish we could use the hard compound every week.

Damn the Williams had some great drive out these corners. Actually looks like it drives out of corners as good as if not better than the McLaren which is amazing.

Corner exit performance is always a focus of my setups, more so for race conditions on tracks with tight corners exiting onto straights. Its nice to be able to get on the throttle with confidence.

Best way to get traction, something like a softer rear end?

Yes, softer rear springs helped at Malaysia, that and diff settings, from the replays people were running 85 the same as me. Though you had less wing on than me which would have been a factor, I tried 6/5 but the back end was looser and I couldnt stay on it through the fast left right so I went with 7/6.

I thought all cars were equal for the race? How is it that you can adjust your settings or are you just talking about quaiifyling.

Yeah they were great. Just wish they had a special tyre where you could hit just like GT6. Then battles with some wouldn't be fatal

all we need is full TCS allowed to stop those wobbles out of corners which have been the cause for so many DNF's this season

Come on Hat, as I recall you drove the 908 on GT6 very well without TC which is far harder than these cars... :roflmao:
Perhaps reduce your steering lock coming on the power, that should help :)

DOTD thread will be up shortly :)
