This is a little excessive? We get 15-18 a race and end with 10

If we had say 40 strong attacking for a drive yeah makes a little more sense.

No, it is necessary to field the drivers into the Divisions for Season 2 accordingly. GT6/Pcars both have a process, F1 needs one too.

It also acts as a preventative to ensure we know that the people who are participating know how to drive and we don't suffer a repeat of some disasters we've had this season.

So are we going to be running seperate rooms for each division? Or a 1A and 1B scenario?

Still the same room but there will be Div 1 & 2.

When everyone submits their laps yes.

We aren't new though, Stu doesnt ask everyone after each season to submit a lap. He uses his previous seasons information.

Making the new comers submit a lap makes sense, But no every existing driver.

Then how am I supposed to work out what division to place people in with only 3 or so laps worth of data? Using previous season's data isn't a true indication as some might have only raced in 1 or 2 races.
When the transfer from GT5-6 happened we all had to submit a lap. We've never had one before for F1 so if everyone submits a lap it makes the process MUCH easier in the long term.

Surely from season 1 there are drivers whom you wouldn't even consider putting anywhere other than Div 1, regardless of what time they submit without a custom setup.

Surely you can figure out the guys who are consistently at the front?. I can probably name a dozen or so drivers who should be in the first division just by results for this season. Maybe if you've only done a couple of races it makes sense but people who have run the season and have been consistently quick don't really need to do this.

How will constructors work. Cool if we had a driver from each team in each div.

In fact it cant really work any other way, a constructor that is split between divs would have an opportunity to score more points.

So much complication for a gimmick

Everybody who has scored a Pole Position or a Victory this season should gain automatic Division 1 Status. Anybody else would proceed via the Quali Lap.
The whole grid being required to set a lap shouldn't be necessary until F12017 releases.
But thats just my 1.5 cents.
