    Laguna this week.
Haha check the results Tek, we did SS Route 5 last week and you were there! ;)
There was a vote option in the 'continuation' thread to skip SSR5 but most were keen to carry on with it.

Good work on the results page. Sid's table uses complicate code because he used a generator for it.

Agh I feel like nick heildfeld, bunch of podiums but no win yet, in super gt and the main league.

lol I never remember the name of those tracks, I thought SS5 was the one with the 2 super long staights.

A little of topic but I saw this today and couldnt agree more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkavE6EyU_4 inside sim racing GT 5 review. If you skip to 28:00 they review wheels and I have the same problems with my brake, there very sensitive in GT5. One of the reasons I'll never run without ABS in this game

Cheers. Alrighty then, I've deleted the old table and tidied up the whole wiki page since I'm sure Sid can use the generator to get it back again if for some reason we miss it....

Perhaps you/Beau could chuck a link to the wiki page in the first post.
If you spot any mistakes in the table feel free to edit, but I've gone over the numbers a couple of times and am pretty sure its correct.

Yeah, I will need you to have a few off track excursions though, if I am to keep you behind me. Actually if you could take out koastr, it would be much appreciated ;)

Aza, I recommend you doable mics and put the race quality on standard. I tried higher settings last week and we had lag issues (which I don't normally have).

Outta, Yeah that koastr is running away with it ey...Is it even possible for us to win? I haven't looked into it much. Did we decide if we were dropping a round for this comp?

    I'm easy.. In dropping worst round we need to be clear on how to handle the half points races;
    1. Worst round needs to be lowest scoring round to account for half points rounds, not lowest position result.
    2. We need to decide whether to treat the two sprint races as one round or two.
2.1 If it's one round, sum of your points from both races will be dropped if this sum is your lowest score
2.2 If it's two rounds, points will be dropped from one race only if that race is your lowest score

With two races left you guys are around 30 points behind me. If one of you wins both races at 20pts each, and I score 10 points or less across both races (average 6th in both or worse) you could still take out the championship.

I did about 15 laps with Beau last night. That will be competitive but not a pole position IMO.

Looking forward to this one! :D

I'd say treat each week as a 'round', so the sprint races would be counted as one. Also agree with lowest score counts as 'worst round'.

I don't think you will be finishing 6th or worse in both of the final races.

I've updated the first post with laguna seca race results and fastest laps. Let me know if you see any problems because i'm half asleep.

Noticed my pole lap of 1:20.2xx is 1.3 seconds faster then my race lap.

I pulled out my best lap in qualifying a 1:20.6, at the time I was only .015 off beau's initial pole lap, then he proceeded to better it by another 4 tenths.

I had an excellent race guys, so much tension, initially trying to get past koastr who launches that nsx of the line so well and jumped me into turn 1. Whatever he qualifies in, add 1 grid spot for the launch abilities. The first time into the corkscrew it was nose to tail, koastr, me, neishy. Koastr got the rear end out on the exit and smacked me in the face with it as I had a little more speed then, I lost the rear and neishy touched me and I actually think he straightened me up (thanks!!) As a result of all of myself and neishy recovering, teknique caught us and ran wide into the gravel, its funny how koastr stepping the tail out can result in the guy in 5th place running off the track.

I had to close the gap back to koastr after that scrape with disaster, thanks to the draft it gave me the fastest lap. Once caught back up I faked him going into the high speed left hander up the hill and he was a little eager to turn in and copped a cut penalty.

Then neishy just wouldn't go away, I would pull a little gap, then he would put in some incredible sectors and close me down again. We swapped positions a couple of times, then neishy got an amazing run through the left hander and up the hill and i had no option but to surrender the position into the corkscrew, but neishy was a little over excited I think and totally missed his braking point and flew off the track, i think it cost him 15-20 seconds.

After all of this the gap to beau was now 8-10 seconds I think, its hard enough to match his pace, let alone closing 10 seconds and I could only maintain the gap. I probably pitted a little late (end of lap 13), as it gave me less laps to use the fresh tyres to close down the no-stopping beau. It probably didn't matter anyway as beau had really looked after his tyres and was still putting in great laps. The gap was something like 35 seconds and I only had 7 laps to close it. The long pit exit really makes a stop at laguna expensive.

With only 4 or so laps to go someone took out the "3" braking marker for the final turn (I think it was neishy from watching the replay), so I braked way too late and into the sand I went. I hadn't realised that koastr had only been 6 or so seconds behind me, so now he was just within drafting distance. I was going to be very annoyed (at the gt5 draft effect) if he managed to draft up to me and really put pressure on me, so I drove like I stole it for the final few laps desperately trying to keep koastr more than 2 seconds behind.

I managed to bring it home for second! Always a bridesmaid!

By my calculations Koastr is our first jap gt champ (congrats!!!), he has a 23 point lead with 1 race to go and the maximum points in 20 + fastest lap and pole = 22 points.

Its tight for 2nd and 3rd with beau and I separated by .5 points (2 points if we drop out worst round), basically whoever finishes in front at suzuka earns 2nd position.

Also there are only a handful of points separating 5th to 9th.

Thanks to aza for hosting, the room was flawless for me tonight.
