    Nice write up Outta.
Haha drove it like you stole it, you sure did. nice... Yea it was an interesting race. Thought I had a hope of catching you there but just couldn't push any harder and keep it clean. Nearly got caught out by that missing brake marker too!

You really got me rattled in the first few laps, especially with a bit of rubbing here and there, and my NSX just didn't feel stable enough, especially in the corkscrew (hence the tail out incident!). Then Nieshy joined in! Great stuff. Got a second short cut penalty in the cork screw straight after the first one, just lost focus after the first one.

Great work Beau you really smashed it despite being off your quali pace. I couldn't break into the 1.20's to match my practise pace either.

I've updated the wiki. I make the points tally of a few of us a little bit different to your calculations Beau. I've checked mine a few times now and am pretty sure it's correct. With all the half points rounds etc. it can be hard to keep track...

    great track.
will have to start working on the next idea for the wedensday league during the week.

whats everyone keen for after super GT?

Id like a v8 supercar and DTM v8 race, we tested some last week and they are close and good cars to drive. We ran the Astra against the Au v8 supercar 640pp and it was very close on most tracks we ran on, but would need to do some more testing to get the right pp or weight and tracks if you want to include the AU ford.
DTM cars: Audi 02, Astra 01, CLK merc 01 and the Au ford 01 if we get the right tracks and pp
I'd also like to use Beau's Racing hard and soft tires with mandatory pit idea, 30 laps or 45 min race(less laps on longer tracks) and pit window @ lap 10 to 20 and must use the hard tyre for a minimum of 5 laps. So some may pit twice and make use of the soft tire speed, and some may stay out till lap 20 put on the hards and try and fend of the soft tire 2 pitters for the last 10 laps. Not sure how it will go but worth testing it out.

The problem you have with using multiple compound tyres is there is NIL advantage for using a harder tyre. They degrade at the same rate. soft medium and hard. And you lose about 2 seconds a lap for every step harder you go in compound.(track dependant) The only difference is, the performance drop off for the harder tyres is more acute then softer tyres. For example: If your doing lap times of say 1:00.000 on fresh softs, when they are worn you might be down to say 0:58.000 seconds per lap. Where as your mediums might do 0:58.000 fresh, but only 0:56.500 worn. and hards might do 0:56.000 fresh but maintain 0:55.000 worn. It seems to me that the performance difference is too large to justify the existence of the hard tyres. I think the tyre model would work if say....the mediums were the softs, the hards were the hards, and medium was somewhere in between the two.

    As for the wednesday league.

I'd like to see the super gt league evolve.
    - More gt cars (including the gt300 cars)
    - Better track selection (not tracks exploiting draft effect)
    - A couple of divisions maybe.

But i'd be keen as curry for NASCAR too.

I'm thinking of running an indurance race series. But not with weekly races but more like monthly. With a different genre each time. Eg: Supercars (ferrari, lamborghini, mclaren etc), RM cars, Jap sports cars, or match ups like....RM Camaro Vs RM Challenger. Or Viper Vs Corvette. Different each month.

Love the sound of both these ideas, especially the less frequent format as I'm finding two races per week a bit much, particularly since being in WA I don't get much time after finishing work before weeknight race starts. ;)

I just checked mine again and to my knowledge it is correct. Unless outta has changed it already. However you have got 87 points and you only gave yourself 86.5 on the wiki. As for the rest of them, It can be their responsibility to make sure their points tally up correctly.

Good work beau on the tire research, but i think the big difference in them is what will make it interesting and bring in pit strategy more than ever. Might just need to have small pit windows of say 5 and 3 laps so you have to use each tire for a certain amount of time. Say 1st pit window lap 8 to 13 and 2nd window lap 20 to 23 on a 30 lap race. You can then start on the hard tire and run through to lap 8 -13 and pit on to the softs and do the last 22-17 laps on them, will suit the drivers who can save tires like yourself beau. Or you can start on the soft and pit on lap 13 and then again on lap 20 and then try and catch the one stoppers who's tires will be starting to go off by the end. Most people will probably do the 2 stoppers but the option is there and 17 laps makes it more accessible to more drivers to try. Not too many can do the 22 laps you did the other night but they may try 17 and the bigger difference in tyres comes into play too, are they willing to stay out to lap 13 on the slower hard tires. A lot a variables to take into account, with different tracks the strategy may change, and when you pit in the window could make all the difference at the end of the race. Just an Idea worth testing out before we make any decision on implementing it into a race and may need to get some more input into it but i realy like having the tires and pit time being more complicated.

Im still flithy at myself for going wide to dodge a tangle after the corkscrew 1st lap, couldnt get back on the track. When I did I stopped going invisible right in front Chev causing me to get a tap and go off again. After watching the replay that cost me over 20 seconds, could of least had a shot at 4th. Next time im going to hope you go see thru and drive straight through it. :p

Yep bonus, something along those lines i think would be good. Maybe we should do some more thorough testing on the tyres and see if we can come up with a decent formula. i'll turn some laps tonight if anyone is interested. the more drivers the better i suppose.

Yeah man, i saw you just come back onto the track invisible and knew you wouldn't go solid for a bit so i tried to drive through you because i didn't have much choice. Just as i approached you went solid, and bam! Stupid game.

    Points have been updated.

What a great competition this has been. Big thanks to leeboy for organising this for us originally. Perfect balance between fun and seriousness...if that makes sense.

Congratulations to Koastr for the series win. Just a single point got you there in the end. Well done.
Great job everyone for showing up each week and finishing the races.

Looking forward to the next series. Whatever that may be. A monthly superGT endurance series would be cool.

Great season guys, I still need to find some pace to challenge for victories but I'm working on it.
Grats to kostr on a tight championship victory. You not being able to join last night could have lost you the championship if you hadn't won it already.

Thanks to beau for teaching us all a few lessons.

Special mention to bonus who picked up 25 of his 30 points in just the last 3 races.

Thanks guys for the results and the salutations! I've posted my sentiments up in the Super GT continuation thread.
    Very enjoyable season.

I've updated the wiki with the final standings and checked the numbers again.

    http://wiki.gtleagueoz.com/index.php/Super_GT_championship_-_Leaderboard
Ties sorted by highest single finishing position as described in the regulations and scoring system.

X-3vi1m00n I'm sorry to dissappoint you mate but I score/place you lower than Beau.
Your scoring rounds were round 3 sprint 1 - 9th - but sprint races should be awarded at half points, so only 1pt there.
    Then a 9th (2pts) and a 10th (1pt) in rounds 5 and 6 gives a total of 4pts, which puts you 16th not 13th.

 does this even make sense?! :?

BTW guys drop your worst round or not the results are the same as everybody has at least one zero points round through DNS on non-points position.

Thanks for pointing this out koastr. Like I have said numerous times, people will have to double check their score...obviously some guys haven't been all that fussed.

Great series really enjoyed the cars and the tracks selected. Big thanks to those who put in the effort and testing to make it as a great close fast competition.
    Congrats to Our GT500 winner 1. KoAStR - Raybrig NSX '06 and the podium finishers 2nd beau261 - Petronas TOM'S SC430 '08 and 3rd OuttaAngst - Bandai Direzza SC430 '08

Thanks for the special mention Outta, had a few good rounds for me in the end, but i was still a long way of the leaders pace, i can only wish to be so good at the moment but its good to have such a high bar set, it makes one push a bit harder.
