    Guys,

I've had a good look at this, and it seems that doing a Japan only championship will be easier and closer.
A lot of the European cars are in the used dealership and might be hard to find for some racers, so we'll stick with premium cars available at the new dealerships.

I will put a list up in the next day or so and also look for expressions of interest for those who want to race.

Depending on how many we get, may need a couple of rooms to run everything.
Might do something similar to the standard championships, whereby people submit a quali time on a chosen track with a chosen Super GT car.

Should be at least 8-10 cars available, all FR or MR models.
PP will probably be limited to 600 (most models are very close to that anyway) and will restrict tyres to Racing Medium as best available, but any combination can be used. Tuning is allowed to all parts as long as you keep it inside 600 PP.

I'll be looking at 6-7 races in the championship, with an enduro round included. Races will be AT LEAST 30 mins each with enduro being about 75 mins. Keep that in mind if you've got a dodgy connection.
Enduro will be weighted in terms of points, haven't decided on numbers yet. Will also include bonus points for fastest lap.
The championship will have a distinct Japanese flavour, so you can assume that Fuji, Suzuka and maybe even Tokyo will be included (it's not the best track, but should make for some good racing).

I'm working on a poster as well to put up. Trying to get a good shot with one of the Super GT cars ;)

More to follow. Will be looking at launching this series in the next week or two. Let me know if you're interested. Genuine applicants only, don't want anyone who is going to rage quit or drop out if they are having a shocker.

No prizes or anything on offer because I'm a cheapskate :) hahaha, a heap of good racing should be reward enough!
All expressions of interest should be posted here or via PM. Please try and get back to me by 21st March at the latest if you want to participate.

    Thanks.

Im interested but have some questions..

    1. Why can't we use the MR super gt cars?
    2. Once we choose our car are we stuck with it for the full season or can we swap it out in exchange for a penalty or something?
    3. When you choose the tracks could you please take into consideration the length of the straights. This gt5 slipstreem is wrecking it for me lately and both fuji and tokyo are 2 of the worst tracks for this?

Also would you be interested in some rounds being sprint race formula. Like the inter league races we had. With reverse grid too.?

Haven't decided on a day yet, but time would be 6:30pm my time, so 9:30 EDST.

As for MR cars, that's my bad, I forgot about the NSX being MR so they will be allowed. Will edit main post. Just no AWD.

I know the slipstreaming is pretty average on some tracks, but I wanted it to be reasonably authentic in terms of being Japanese. Will definitely look at it though.

Day would either be Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. More likely earlier in the week though.

We'll forgive you for that mistake.

As for the "keeping it authentic" there is really only 3 japanese tracks to use. Fuji, Suzuka or Tsukuba. Correct me if i missed one..

Also spint formula? You yourself had a race ruined last night early on. Dont you wish you could have re started

I'd be up for it maybe, depending on the day. Later in the week would be better for me cos first half of the week is full with sports stuff

    I've gone with these tracks...

    Autumn Ring (full circuit)
    Fuji speedway GT
    Tsukuba
    Tokyo R246
    SS Route 5
Laguna Seca (because everyone seems to like it even though it isn't Japanese)
    Suzuka

Suzuka will be the enduro round, looking at about 35 laps.

I will also have a sprint round (just for you Beau LOL) which will take place at Tokyo R246.
No reverse grid but will run 2 quali sessions :)
Twice the chances to get it right...or wrong :p

I've got the poster ready, just need to get the amount of laps and final car list together.
I think the list will probably include Honda NSX, Nissan GT-R, Toyota Supra and Lexus SC430. Nothing is finalised yet.

Only 1 car per driver, so you should do some testing before submitting your final entry.
I will ask everyone to submit their chosen car by a certain date and then i will post a final entry list.

I may need a volunteer to host a room if we get higher numbers.
Should be a really good championship as all the cars are really close on performance anyway!

I'm going to go for Wednesday night races with quali starting at 9:30pm EDST and race beginning at 10pm EDST.
Looking to kick off Wednesday 30 March with entries closing Friday 25 March.
You'll have well over a week to buy and/or test/tune your cars. Vehicles are almost $1 million each so if you don't got the green, better start cranking some offline wins for cash!!

Any further questions or ideas are happily accepted :)
