You can't ban ABS so it is allowed.

As for numbers, I think 12 per race is plenty so would look at 2 rooms if we got over 16 racers.
Any less than 8 in a room and the crowd is a bit thin...

    See how we go :)

The poster looks awesome Leeboy. Well done.

    Pity you can't ban ABS. Getting a bit off topic but following on from the above, I'd like to PD add more lounge and assistance restrictions options. It would cut down on the amount of pre-arranging and policing you have to do if you could also restrict;
    1. Country
    2. Year
    3. ABS on/off
    4. Force cockpit view
    5. Drivetrain
    6. Maybe even body type - i.e. hatch, wagon etc. But this is a long shot as PD haven't even regulated this for the A-spec races, you can enter ANY european car into the "European HOT HATCH" races. Ridiculous.
    7. Maybe even limit allowable mods. i.e. allow height adjustable suspension but not fully adjustable etc. Haha pipe dream this one...

It's basically impossible to play using a controller with no ABS...I assume that's why you can't ban it.

It's over 600PP so didn't include it. You'll have to make do with it's successor, the GT-R

Yep, basic rules surrounding penalties, driving standards etc reflect those in our standard league championships.

Haha koastr, so you basically want options to make everyone use your setup :)

I think the reason why i don't use cockpit view is that the field of vision seems cramped, normal human vision is like 160 degrees or something, where as cockpit view is much less than that.

The disadvantage of using bumper view is that because you are so close to the ground any slight dip in a corner can make the apex blind.

Also I reckon there is not enough feel to be able to drive without abs, in a real car you would get earlier feedback of a imminent lockup. Kudos to you for being able to drive competitively without it.

Lol Yea a bit! ABS and cockpit view restricitons aren't the only ones I was going for though!

I also think driving ABS in older cars that never came with it is a bit rubbish. And for that matter I surprised PD have allowed you to purchase sports chips to upgrade HP for cars that never came out with computers in them!

As for feel, yea it's tricky, I listen to the tyres, (so it's even more annoying if the missus is clanging around!) but you can feel it start to slip and wiggle before you reach full lock most of the time. I understand that the Fanatec GT has FFB in the brake pedal for this purpose.

I also metioned it because these restrictions are available in R-Factor lounge setups on PC. My love is for full sim and I enjoy the cockpit view but it can be a disadvantage if you're the only person running it. The Supra for instance has a massive blind spot on RH apex's because of the driving position relative to the pillar. Even with real life peripheral vision, blind spots are a reality of real life driving. I also enjoy the greater sense of immersion from driving cockpit view so struggle to part with it!

Dammit, this is the only one I currently own and I was hoping to use it! Trying to save up the $20M for the Ford IV.

TC on 0 is impossible to drive without shredding tyres on DS3, especially for the high powered rear wheel drive cars.

I use TC as I have a DS3, but am learning to not use it. I've been testing Super GT without it and am about 0.2-0.3 seconds quicker over a flying lap.

I still feel it would restrict competiton and a number of those willing to participate may shy away if it is banned.
When all input devices are equal it is fine, but with some using wheels/pedals and some not, it is only fair to allow it.

I only use tc 1, so I could probably get used to zero TC, but until I either get a wheel or they improve the sensitivity of the shoulder buttons on the DS3 then I'll probably need it.

Either way restricting TC to 0 doesn't do anything, it just makes life harder for those who haven't worked out how to drive without it, thus making them slower, and having tc on makes you slower as well - either way people who are able to and want to use TC 0 will be quicker.

BTW I'm keen but because its on wed, I usually have soccer training, although I will have to see what is happening as we could be moving it to thurs nights.
