We were doing some testing after FGT and chucked some in. I wanted to put the R92CP in but it was woefully slow.

Yeah, whooaaa on there, if we're opening this up, have the Merc CLK-LM, Toyota GT1, Jag XJR-9 and Bentley Speed-8 been tested?

I Wouldn't mind getting out a Diesel & into something that Revs past 6k.

they would all be AM cars nat. The CLK and Bently are already on the AM list. GT one is too fast.

Qually will start at 8:00 sharp AEST. Out lap then one hot lap.

So we now have 4 5 LMP's and 4 GT's. with a few to confirm it looks likely we will have both classes running. Would really prefer an even split between classes to make the ROC spots a fair fight. Will keep an eye on it. To the GT runners have a LMP back up just in case it turns into a single class race

Sounds good ill definitely be in a LMP. Most likely a 908 base model but will do some testing only pro LMP i don't have is the R10. You sure it won't be possible to do it in 2 stops? I know the 908 can do 11-12 laps at 700hp when on the rev limiter. So 13 laps shouldn't be out of question with only 552 hp and the long standard gear ratio's.

The small amout of testing I have done see's both classes using around 8lts per lap. x 39 laps = 312 lts. minus a bit for low fuel usage as the tank gets lower. A two stopper would be VERY line ball / risky. I wouldn't want to run out half way through a lap. Its a LONG lap.

As to it using less due to the lower bhp. You have to remember your on the throttle a lot longer down the muslane. Might negate any efficiency advantage form the lower bhp.

Yeah just tested a few cars the only one that would make it somewhat comfortably is the r18 using only 7.5 litres per lap over 4 laps. Also I know with the 908 its not long before you start loosing power due to oil going bad. In a 1 hour enduro + 10min qually with brand new oil at the start you loose 29hp when starting with 700 a loss of 4.14% and it will only get worse in the extra 1.2 hrs.

I'm sure you'd find away to make your tyres run out before fuel too . 2 stops probably wouldn't be the best strategy anyway. Because lets say on average 33 litres lighter per lap gives a 1s advantage per lap. Over 39 laps thats a 39s advantage which is roughly a pitstop and thats not even taking into consideration the better tyres you'd be using.

Too fast for pro
