that's it mustafur, with different cars it's really going show the pace difference with others.... i would suggest that if no tuning is allowed, so have a div1 bloke put some laps in all cars concerned and teams are produced from there. ie, if car 1 is 2sec faster than car 2, then the weaker "team" gets car 1 over the stronger team getting car 2. this could be hard for you to put the teams together, as you may not have seen everyone's skill level so far, and divisons for current season may not be the best suggestion. - ie, im div 2, but could really be lower end of div1, and greendog is div4, but could even be low div2/high div3 etc
From what i've tested the Corolla, Escort and 206 are over a second off the pace, everything else is within 3-5 tenths of each other which imo is pretty much the margin of error, every car handles different But they are very close to each other which suggests it would take time to adapt to its style, in racing conditions with draft it would be pretty much equal.
I got this from looking at times and championship standings but this is probably the best i see it: Cyber with Beannie Mustafur with N64 Greendog with clevohead butters with Colin Maybe put Butters and Colin in a Citroen C4 and Greendog and clevohead in a '08 focus with us guys in either a Peugeot 206 or Corolla our cars are about a second a lap slower and overall should even it up, since the cars are relatively easy and consistent to drive.
fair enough those pairing you have above though, take the car out of play, and realistically you have 2x groups of div1 and 2, and 2x groups of div 3 and 4. the div3/4 group probably wouldn't be able to match the div 1/2 group even with 1sec/lap faster car (no offence guys!!!) at the end of the day, it's a bit of fun, and you can always have a primary and secondary driver fighting it out with the relative in the other teams BTW - if anyone needs the Escort Rally car - i have two, so i can gift one if needed. I also have the RS200 rally car (if i gift, you must return back!) lol
This should be fun, i'm not fussed on the cars, unless we allow the slower cars to be tuned and trust that no one else has tuned theirs, in order to combat the deficeit. I'd love to be your teammate mus
just adding my 2c in, i agree with beanie here. unless you wanted a 2 tier sort of championship, i wouldve put the two top groups as group 'leaders' so to say. and then paired one of the lower guys with one of you guys. one second isnt enough, even if they are ahead in qualifying, the race is a whole other thing. like i said, just my opinion, im not even in this thing so dont worry too much lol.
hmmmm, hard to say exactly, but something along the lines of the div1/div2 guys paired with the div3/4. and im not really sure of the cars either, unless you were using the 4 premium rally cars (subaru, ford, citroen and suzuki) and im not even sure if they're relatively equal. you'll never get a completely equal team championship. from what i see in practice lobbies, they'll be a bigger margin between the div3/4 guys then the div1/2. i think in the latters case, you might get half a second difference covering the 4 drivers (maybe more but not that much). bit hard to say the margin with the div3/4 guys, but i guess it would be more.
The car is quite a bit easier to driver then the RX7 might be able to close the time defiects but i guess we should try aim for Equal teams.
Sounds like a good idea, Suggest we all Use the recommended Citroen as the car. on the Weekend or any day you guys are up for could we test some cars just so we can group them all on what is fast and not, i don't have every rally car as of current, but the fastest i have tried at Nurburgring D was the Lancer Super rallycar closely followed by the Impreza 03 WRC. Handling on the Lancer Super Rally car felt the most planted where as a car like the 206 wants to drift every corner and is a bit more difficult to drive smooth, the corolla is very understeery. Also what I've noticed is the faster cars have More PP at 305hp then the slower ones which might suggest going for a PP Limit instead might close the gap up
I say we do it on the proposed race night so say this Thursday at your intended start time, then you have 7 days to get it in order for round 1. And keep it to one night a week, don't alternate each week, it is easier for me to commit to one night, then I can tell the "secretary of finance and recreation" that Thursday nights are race nights.
Im thinking of Just having it every Thursday but have Off weeks when Cybers enduro race is on every month, same time for qualiy and race too, to limit confusion for those doing both.
Yeah 8pm qualiy for driver pairing and test session for car pairing, bring every rallycar you can get. Might put a half distance race in there for good measure, we will use Nurburgring D which is where the first round is.

ah Mustafur what do have to let me know and are we using rally cars as i dont think i have any what cars do we need
