Hopped in today after teaming with @RidwanF1 for a 1500km race at St Croix to which we finished poorly, was a fantastic surprise to be on the pace immediately in practice and turn it into my first front row start on GT7 and for a very long time.
Got @KeedenMcdonald off the start and led the opening stint with @CaptainRisky21 following close behind. Eventually I realised how tight I was on fuel and sacrificed some of my rhythm and speed to save a few laps worth. I let Risky by easy enough and figured I'd try stay on his tail to which my talent disagreed.
Pitted on lap 14, running 13 laps to the flag for stint 2. Risky flew by my on my out lap and it became apparent very early on my fight wouldn't be with him. Keeden and @Rangeraus slowly closed up on me as I made small mistakes here and there. Keeden threw a few moves at me to which I was able to hold on with some textbook defensive work.
Beyond stoked to hold on to a P2 in Div 1, Still feels like a bloody good achievement and it's enough to remind you that you're doing a good job. Props to Risky for a perfectly managed race, literally didn't put a foot wrong, and Ranger for a fantastic come back drive.
So keen for N24!
