    Qually & 1 fast lap are one thing,full race distance is another kettle of fish all together!
    No joke,i have to question the accuracy of the timing system. I know that i did a 1.01.118 on lap 34,my wife saw it too,but look at the replay and it's not thereo_O,:confused::confused::rolleyes::rolleyes:,got me stuffed,lol :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:o_O

    I Think pace strategy will be crucial this week,go too hard early & you'll get blitzed in the last 5 laps,too slow & you'll lose too much ground,interesting!:cool:

    Yeah, generally my position on the fastest lap table is mostly about 4 or 5 positions below my finishing place if I don't have too many wobbles in the race.

    The standard set up of the car is very average!
    I did some tuning when I was doing the 200 mile at Laguna and some small set up changes make a huge difference.
    We could easily go under 1:00 at Rome with just a tweak of toe and camber settings alone.

    Having said that, being fast wasn't meant to be easy ;)

    Agreed, the car would slide at a bump on the exit of the Turn 123 complex, a bump which I have not noticed on any other car, despite putting in 1000's of laps at Rome.

    I just watched the replay and two things fascinate me. Firstly at the first corner on the last lap I now know why my inside line didn't pay off, your car just ghosted through me. Lucky it did because the speed difference would have caused a big accident. Secondly there was slight side on contact between us at the last corner but I think the result was exaggerated. Perhaps the touch was the final straw to unbalance your car but if we had ghosted then we would have had a drag race to the line. My point is there is inconsistency in this ghosting thing. I'm sorry it ended the way it did but I initially had plenty of room but we still touched. I guess I zigged when you zagged.

    We must be running totally different lines,i didn't notice it,just found if you weren't consistent with the throttle while turning it would lose traction really easily.In most of my fastest laps i just held the throttle static until straight then fed in the rest in quickly.I also noticed that it's a car that benefits massively from using the traction control,& brake balance to even out the tyre wear through the stint!:cool:
    Did anyone else notice how fast Disturboed did his pass through the pits at the end of lap 1,or did we all get different versions because of lag? I got him doing 584km/h!!!o_O:rolleyes: I'll post a photo tomorrow:cool::p

    I've noticed/guessed that the ghosting depends on both the overall & the closing speed between the two cars,& the particular track.I think we'll be lucky to have any ghosting at Laguna Seca except for at turn 1(or 2 if you count the kink) & the corkscrew. I think it also depends on the room quality setting,the lower it is,the more ghosting.:):)

    Yeah, I saw the first turn thing as it happened, not sure what happened there, it seemed like you threw an anchor out and slowed heaps, I was ready for an impact but ghosted through. I found the wider line around there worked a bit better but I wasn't too successful at doing it lap after lap...lol

    Crazy how much grip you lose in this car in the draft too, lost count of how many walls I hit just through understeer in the draft. Not only have to deal with a fat-arse car in front, but contend with the understeer at the same time.
