With all the Orange McLaren's around I've decided to change my colours for this season. Will now be running with light blue car with yellow wheels (still #15)
OK guys, The opening post has been updated with track list, Qual and race times and your hosts. You will need to make sure you have them on your Friend list There may be a few tweaks to the season in the next week, we will update in each divisional thread if needed. A few things to remember for the season. 1. Remember you need to race 5 of the 7 rounds to be eligible for the Pagnian prize at the end of the season, valued at $850. 2. You need to have a post count of 40 by the end of the season to be eligible for the Pagnian prize. For our new members, 5 posts per week isn't a huge ask, and it keeps our forum / community alive. 3. As always, clean racing is the backbone of what we are trying to achieve here at ROOZ. If you are involved in an incident with another driver and you are at fault, PLEASE REDRESS on track. Post race penalties could apply for driving infringements. 4. If you wish to protest a race incident, you MUST message the room captain and / or site mods. Please don't play out any protest or complaints in the open forum. We find this is the most professional and trouble free way to sort any protests / disputes. 5. Intentional corner cutting or contact with other drivers to gain an advantage WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, and post race penalties will apply to drivers deemed to be in breach of these rules. 6. The mod team reserve the right to change the season regulations if we feel it is in the best interest of the members and the racing experience. This may be as a result of a game update or an obvious flaw in the previously stated regulations. If you are a new member please ensure you are aware of the rules and regulations : http://raceonoz.com/threads/rules-regulations.70/ Good luck for the season guys, race hard, race fair and hopefully you are the one getting your but in the PAGNAIN cockpit for season 3
Thanks mods and to everyone else who assisted in putting together this track list for season 02....this is going to be fantastic! For those in Div 4 (which could also apply to all drivers in all div's), may I suggest that you ensure you are online and logged into the Div 4 GT6 lobby at least 10 mins earlier than the qual time (or by 8pm AEST), so we can make sure everyone is present and if there are issues in joining the room these can be rectified early so qualifying isn't delayed. The room hosts usually have the rooms setup and ready well ahead of time so please try to be on time so qualifying and the race can proceed on time. It is also advisable that before you go online prior to the race each Sunday you: - clear your cache within the game (Options | Network | Clear Network Cache) - where possible, ensure others aren't sharing your internet at home (especially watching videos or downloading files) - cross both your fingers and toes that the PSN servers don't have it in for you that night... There are also a few other tips related to network connections (and solutions) in this thread: http://raceonoz.com/threads/lag-network-issue-help-solutions.848/ Lastly, everyone should ensure that their PSN ID is listed under their ROOZ profile, so everyone in your division can add you as a friend (which can add to the compatibility/stability of the room). The meet & greet practice session is a great opportunity to make sure everyone is added to your friends list and that the room runs with stability when all drivers are present and on-track.
Hey Stu Any word on what tyres we will be using for the first race and what driver aids may be available
Will be using the Race Medium tyres for the normal rounds. Race Soft for the sprint round at Motegi East. At this stage, probably inters for the wet race at Monza, (some more testing going on for this round, stay tuned).
OK guys, time to get serious. Meet & Greet on Sunday(tomorrow) at 8.30pm,but the room will be open from about 7.30. Look forward to meeting the new guys, the rest of ya's,nneeyyyaa! LOL
I won't be able to make the meet and greet tomorrow. At least not the start. I will see if people are still around when I get back home. See you all next week.
No worries mate, you're a known quantity,so it doesn't matter, more for the new guys.See ya the 1st race if not before
Just a quick word for the new guys,we have found that we get the most stable rooms if EVERYBODY does the following procedure. If you have been racing in another room,do not just enter the race room, quit the game and do this first. 1:RESET ROUTER 2:ONCE THE ROUTER HAS ESTABLISHED CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET, GO TO NETWORK SETTINGS=>INTERNET CONNECTION SETTINGS=>(script re:ethernet cable)OK 3:RE-SCAN YOUR SETTINGSIF YOU USE THE EASY MODE. IF YOU USE THE CUSTOM MODE,CHECK THE SETTINGS. 4:SAVE THE SCANNED OR ENTERED SETTINGS 5:LOAD GT6 6:CLEAR GT6 SYSTEM CACHE the reason for this is that often when you have issues with dsc's in GT5/6,It is caused by the system "losing/forgetting your NAT type. When it happens,If you quit the game & check the settings & connection status, you will find your NAT type registered as a -,not 1,2 or 3. Ifyou enter a room and dsc immediately, then enter again & dsc immediately,i'd guarantee it's thecase,so don'twaste time just joining straight away,as even if you get in and on track after doing 3 or 4 in & outs, you'll probably get dsc'd at the start, have major lag,or get dsc'd after 10 laps,so it's better to reset immediately and 99% of the time you'll not have another drama. Clearing the cache does help, but the network settings are the primary cause of issues most of the time. If you know how & know the CORRECT DNS server & IP addresses,Custom is the best way to go. Also turn on the QOS function of your ADSL/ADSL2+ router!
You forgot the MOST important step Dek! Cross both your fingers and toes that the PSN gremlins don't catch a glimpse of you - or no matter what you do it's all over ...and don't forget to make sure all Div 4 drivers are PSN friends. If you haven't already, make sure your PSN ID is listed in your ROOZ profile so everyone can send friend requests if need be. Fingers crossed we have a relatively trouble-free season in Div 4...
