    SEASON 10 QUALIFYING NIGHT
    - Eiger Nordwand
    - Deep Forest
    - Big Willow
10 min Qualifying Sessions - All Preset Weather S01, Afternoon, Equal Conditions On
0x Tire Wear, 0x Fuel Wear, All other settings same as listed in OP

WELCOME to Season 10 for Gran Turismo 7!!
As always please take a couple minutes to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on quali night.
If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

    ROOM OPEN:
Room captains may have practice rooms open beforehand but should have the official room up by 7:30pm AEST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread know if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.

    SIGHT ISSUES:
Before qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again. Type the number of cars you can see in the lobby chat and cross check with other drivers to ensure clarity.

    QUALIFYING 1 : 8pm AEST for 10 mins.
Feel free to run practice laps prior to qualifying, The host will trigger a 'Room Reset' closer to the commencement of Qualifying. Qualifying will be run IN PRACTICE MODE.

    PITS ARE OPEN DURING QUALIFYING

    LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS:
This is up to the room host/captains. Disconnections that occur during qualifying should be able to join back without hassle as we are running qualifying in Practice mode. If a room is deemed too laggy to continue, it may be wise to change room hosts.

    TRACK LIMITS:
As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage time wise.

Track Limits will not be monitored tonight due to the session settings. Please follow RaceOnOz track limit rules to ensure a fair and even chance amongst everybody while setting your laps.

    CONTACT:
Is to be avoided at all times..... I'm not even going to warrant this section with a full paragraph. Do not hit eachother. If I have to be contacted about people making contact in a qualifying session I won't hesitate to hand out penalties for the season. That also goes for bump drafting which is STRICTLY PROHIBITED TONIGHT.

    PIT ENTRY/EXIT LINES:
Pit Line Penalties are ON so you will be penalised in game if you cut any part of the entry or exit lines. You may receive a penalty for misjudging your line on entry. Be mindful not to impede other cars on your way in. Due to the session being run in practice mode, it's advised that if you must return to Pit Lane, pull off the track safely, and warp to pits with no other cars around you.

    BLUE FLAGS:
There will be no Blue Flags in use tonight so please use your mirrors and be aware of cars around you. You are not obliged to move out of the way for anyone if you are on a hot lap, but please if you are not on a hot lap, be courteous and respectful to those who may be on a hot lap.

    STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS:
This season, the Head Steward will be @Viperzed. There will be no official protests for the qualifying round (unless its something ridiculous) however if you believe an incident needs to be addressed, don't be afraid to teach out and ask the question.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem.

    PARKING UP:
If you are unable to continue for any reason, please either enter the pits manually or warp to pits via the Options menu. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car. Please make sure you screenshot your session best times PRIOR to leaving the track.

    ATTENDANCE:
Could all drivers please inform Room Captains or make a post on the division thread if they do not intend on attending. Room Captains/ Lobby Hosts are advised not to wait for anyone who has not communicated their intentions. If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following week's event.

    Qualifying Specific
Each circuit will have a short practice session followed by a 10 min qualifying session in which lap times and optimal lap times will be monitored in order to ensure our divisions are as close as possible! In order to do this, Drivers are to screenshot their Session Best tab in the HUD to record their best lap time as well as optimal lap time. These times can then be sent to the Division PSN chat where they will be recorded by admin and used to finalise our divisions. Screenshots can be taken by pressing the share button on their wheel or controller, drivers can then send screenshots to the Division chat where @Matthyus will pain stakingly collate the data and form our final divisions.

For this reason, drivers are advised to avoid slipstream where possible as it will unfairly lower your optimal lap time and potentially increase your risk of being put in a division that does not match your ability in this car.

Hey guys I'm trying to get into gt7 but I keep getting stuck on a loading black screen ever since update 1.49 came out. Must be a glitch in the update. Start without me but I'll keep trying to get in the room

Answer might be what @TF_Eccles said to me with the same.
Solution was to change DNS from automatic to a manual and place in the ISP DNS address in the spot in the PlayStation settings. Seemed to work, will just need to stress test it with the wives 50 open tabs in browser and 32 on the tablet.
    Again. Thank Eccles

Specifically, what I suggested that Duck (and others) do is set the PlayStation primary DNS IP address to your ISP's primary DNS server and the PS secondary DNS IP address to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare's DNS) or one of the OpenDNS servers of
    208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220.

I'd also suggest setting up port forwarding (aka virtual servers) on your router. For GT7 you should forward
TCP: 3478-3480 and UDP: 3074, 3478-3479 to the IP address of your PS4/PS5. In my router config, I assign a permanent IP address for the PS5, then set up the above port forwarding to that IP address.

WELCOME to Season 10 for Gran Turismo 7!!
As always please take a couple minutes to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night.
If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

    ROOM OPEN:
Room captains may have practice rooms open beforehand but should have the official room up by 7:30pm AEST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread know if you may be late. QUALIFYING : 8pm AEST for 10 mins.
Feel free to run practice laps prior to qualifying, The host will trigger a 'Room Reset' closer to the commencement of Qualifying.

    PITS ARE OPEN DURING QUALIFYING

RACE START TIME : 8:15pm AEST

    LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS:
This is up to the room host/captains. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I would suggest only having 1 restart if required due to DSC, due to having to set up the room from scratch and also having to set timed laps in order to set the grid. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....

    TURN 1 LAP 1:
The old saying goes, you can’t win the race on lap 1, but you can definitely lose it. Please be mindful of other drivers on lap 1 coming into turn 1, and for that matter, the entire race. It can be very demoralizing to hot lap on your own for 45 minutes as I'm sure many of you are aware.

    TRACK LIMITS:
As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage, position or time wise. Track Limits protests may be launched by any active driver in the race.

Track Limits will be monitored generally around the entire circuit. Track limits will be defined as two wheels on the red and white kerb, or white line, whichever is further out.

    CONTACT:
Is to be avoided at all times..... If you make contact with someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Occasionally, Gran Turismo track limits may teleport a disadvantaged driver backwards on circuit to ‘reset’ them, if this occurs at the hand of another driver, IT IS EXPECTED that the driver at fault will wait and redress the position.
Side by side 'rubbing' is racing is allowed and promoted within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room. For clarity surrounding racing room, please feel free to PM @Viperzed
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers.
If you are redressing contact, please do so out of the way of other cars, off the racing line, or if there isn't much room, off track.

    PIT ENTRY/EXIT LINES:
Pit Line Penalties are ON so you will be penalised in game if you cut any part of the entry or exit lines. Be mindful entering the pits that you will need to commit to coming in during the final corner. You may receive a penalty for misjudging your line on entry. Be mindful not to impede other cars on your way in. On pit exit, cars exiting the lane are reminded to keep drivers right if there are any cars approaching, you will have to give them space.

    BLUE FLAGS:
Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

    STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS:
This season, the Head Steward will be @Viperzed. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let him know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. Stewards may ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captains to make any decision.

    SAVE YOUR REPLAY:
If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

    PARKING UP:
If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car. Quitting off track results in a sometimes race ending lag spike and may be punished in extreme scenarios.

    ATTENDANCE:
Could all drivers please inform Room Captains or make a post on the division thread if they do not intend on racing on Sunday night, Room Captains/ Lobby Hosts are advised not to wait for anyone who has not communicated their intentions. If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following weeks race.

TRACK SPECIFIC - Dragon Trail Seaside
We're back, but it feels very different! A major physics change, a car we've been waiting for, some old friends returned and it all happens at one of the best original tracks we have now! Dragon Trail Seaside will provide a perfect battleground to dule out round 1 in what will be 3, packed to the rafters divisions! We're expecting massive attendance numbers all season in all divs, which should spice up the title fight that much more!

As for Seaside itself, it's a high speed dogfight where staying in Slipstream is key. Minimise your mistakes and keep with the pack by all means necessary, undercuts and overcuts can be dangerous as you can go a long way on tires without chewing them up in the tow. The death Chicane will eat a few drivers again, please if you are caught out, be mindful and move off race line immediately!

    A difficult re-entry into division 1.
Qualifying was looking to be a rear pack start, then I disconnected so started last.
Kept it clean through lap 1 and made up a stack of positions due to @AUSnicko9 hitting the chicane and others squabbling only to undo it going on the grass at the exit of T3.
I kept making mistakes and hitting the wall at the chicane and dropped to last ready to quit.
I decided to just try and have some fun battling with whoever I could, and had a good few laps with @Apex_64
Then I caught and passed @Tanqr7286 and caught up to @HerbieofOz but couldn't find a way passed.
The gap kept growing and falling and he messed up the final corner but I couldn't quite grab the position.

I am never a fan of this track. Too much luck it seems with getting the chicane right every lap (everyone seemed to make a mistake there at least once).
If we are going to race here, it might have to be with heavy damage to ensure drivers aren't going through there at 100% without the risk of needing the pit for repairs.

That 7 year hiatus hitting hard! Qualified in P6 and was looking forward to a solid race with the top few but binned it lap 1 lol.
Binned it again at some point mid race from what I remember. Had some scattered battles throughout the race and opted for a decently early stop on lap 12, think it made me up a spot, ended with a last lap pass around the outside coming up to the finish line on @Randm90 for P9. See everyone next week

I thought the same, be a curious experiment, but I would guess the field would spread out dramatically as the stayers get ahead of the sprinters. My 2 cents

Extremely nice of you Hat to call that a battle. Was more like you made errors, dropped back to me, then took a lap to get your rhythm back. Was more like a cat playing with a half dead mouse on 3 legs.

while in part I agree, it was a battle as I had to position my car and attack correctly to make the pass, and you didn't give up without a fight as you tried getting place back.

I have to say, without you I'm not sure I would've continued, so thank you for staying in the race too

I agree big time on the hiatus thing, felt like a fish out of water last night and the track was so unforgiving in this car, I robbed myself of having some mid race fun with Groover by crossing the pit entry line and receiving a 3 sec pen, pretty funny mistake

    TRACK SPECIFIC - Suzuka Circuit
A classic Japanese GT circuit, Suzuka returns to our calendar for the one hour round. We start at our usual time, but a slightly extended race gives us chance of rain and an adjusted strategy. Make sure everyone has purchased Inters and Wet in case the heavens do open!

Stellar race last night at Suzuka! Stoked to come away with P3 after immense pressure from @Noodles87 & @Viperzed for the entire 29 lap journey. Honestly haven't had racing this great since battling it out with @warrior2167 back in the day

Congrats to Josh & Simon on P1 & P2. Keen for Brands Hatch, see everyone next week.

Qualified 13th out of 14 and had a poor start.
Stayed out of trouble in the opening corners and made up a few spots (one of which being @Cameron Neame who spun at exit of T9)
I made an error at T15 running wide, and in my attempts to get the car back under control I was late on the breaks and hit @HighStakes123 off at T16. An apology and redress to continue, but my fortunes didn't turn around and I was struggling for pace.
As the race went on, I found some of that missing pace and made up a few spots to be chasing Nemo in his battle with @Tanqr7286
On the 2nd last lap I ran wide at T1 from the slipstream and then pushed like hell to catch the battling duo at the final few turns and made up 1 final spot on Tanq as he was off track.

In the end, I feel like I need to get some more practice in so I am finding pace before, not during the race.
