That would explain why I losing the back in turn 3.
How do you get this info?

There's a few apps you can get for tablets and phones etc.
There's got to be a flaw in the tyre model. Look at the graph of the data below. The model must assume that the tyres are put on warm (see start and pit stop temps). Then look how quickly they drop off after the pit stop at lap 30 - must be due to the lighter fuel load (took 15 laps to get to 30deg in the 1st stint, 9 laps in the 2nd). But they're in use, rolling around, getting compressed under some load, so should maintain some temp you'd think.|

Maybe they aren't getting pushed enough throughout the turns if your laptime is slower than those ahead. It would be interesting to compare temps between rear of field and the winner

The comment at the end of this is exactly what we here in the office are conversing about. Shouldn't a tyre that spins warm up at least a smidge?
It does sound like the Tyre model isn't right.

I wonder if you can get this from a replay?

After watching the replay I know my tires were colder at 16 laps than some of the other drivers at 26 laps. It appears to me that the drivers that have more tire wear suffered the least from the cold off rear tire. Drivers like me that get more life out of their tires couldn't keep the heat in that tire. I tried lots of things during the week to overcome it as I wanted to have a good result at RBR mini. I tried being very aggressive through turn 3 and I believe I was getting through turn 3 as quickly as anybody before my tire went cold. I found once I had a spin the tire would get even colder. If I had gone to lap 26 like most of the front runners you would see a very bright blue halo around that tire and it was like driving on ice on that wheel while I had plenty of grip on the others, the car was just unmanageable for a guy of my limited skill.
My lap times were just a smidgen off the fast guys.

Would they have forgotten to account for the 2x wear in the temperature model? If someone with the app can test with 1x wear in double the number of laps.

My lap times where pretty good. What i think maybe the culprit is that when we changed tires, and maybe filled up a smidge... there was less weight in the car due to less fuel, so much less pressure on the back right tire, so they where not getting warm at all. It was a frustrating race for me as i did not understand what was happening.

It's a good learning curve for Rooz, being the first FF car we've ever used on GT. A few of us put it down to there just being no load on that tyre for 90% of the lap. In future if we ever were to use an FF again i reckon we make sure we use a track with corners going both ways

Road Atlanta might suffer a mild version of it… not too many left corners.

Already comprehensibly tested and no problems. A little skittish but no where near as bad as Red Bull Ring.
