Can someone please explain how custom weather works. I felt like viperzed was trying to force it to flood in qually and start of the race. I'd jumped in a few lobby's during the week and never had a drop so was completely unprepared for that. I don't think div2 had rain at all ?
It was completely random, opened the lobby and just so happened to be in heavy rain. Of course as we had to reset the room after qually, we felt it was only fair to set the first weather slot at heavy rain as that is what would've happened anyway.
Its random most of the time it doesn't rain but you need to prepare for the possibility that it will if it's listed in the briefing Autopolis and Nurburgring 24h also had the chance of this happening and it was bone dry, it might happen at Suzuka
Can concur it is random. Having said that, you can choose to have rain in the Custom weather settings, but we've just been setting it to random. Div 2 were lucky and didn't get any rain and I had to reset our room after quali to fit a late comer in via manual grid. I commented at the time saying this better not bring rain! In practice sessions I only got rain once, but it was worth the practice, especially in getting to the pits in one piece to change to appropriate tyres.
