WELCOME to Season 5 for Gran Turismo 7!!
As always please take a couple minutes to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night.
If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

    ROOM OPEN:
Room captains may have practice rooms open beforehand but should have the official room up by 7:45pm AEST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread know if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.

    SIGHT ISSUES:
Before qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again. Type the number of cars you can see in the lobby chat and cross check with other drivers to ensure clarity.

QUALIFYING : 8:00 pm AEST for 10 mins.
Feel free to run practice laps prior to qualifying, The host will trigger a 'Room Reset' closer to the commencement of Qualifying.

    PITS ARE OPEN DURING QUALIFYING

RACE START TIME : 8:10 AEST

    LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS:
This is up to the room host/captains. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I would suggest only having 1 restart if required due to DSC, due to having to set up the room from scratch and also having to set timed laps in order to set the grid. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....

    TURN 1 LAP 1:
The old saying goes, you can’t win the race on lap 1, but you can definitely lose it. Please be mindful of other drivers on lap 1 coming into turn 1, and for that matter, the entire race. It can be very demoralizing to hot lap on your own for 45 minutes as I'm sure many of you are aware.

    TRACK LIMITS:
As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage, position or time wise. Track Limits protests may be launched by any active driver in the race.

Track Limits will be monitored generally across the circuit.

    CONTACT:
Is to be avoided at all times..... If you make contact with someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Occasionally, Gran Turismo track limits may teleport a disadvantaged driver backwards on circuit to ‘reset’ them, if this occurs at the hand of another driver, IT IS EXPECTED that the driver at fault will wait and redress the position.
Side by side 'rubbing' is racing is allowed and promoted within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room. For clarity surrounding racing room, please feel free to PM @Viperzed
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers.
If you are redressing contact, please do so out of the way of other cars, off the racing line, or if there isn't much room, off track.

    PIT ENTRY/EXIT LINES:
Pit Line Penalties are ON so you will be penalised in game if you cut any part of the entry or exit lines. Be mindful entering the pits that the lines are tight and the chicane in entry can be very misleading. You may receive a penalty for overstepping the mark on entry. On pit exit, cars exiting the lane are to stay drivers left if they are rejoining in traffic.

    BLUE FLAGS:
Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

    STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS:
This season, the Head Steward will be @Viperzed. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let him know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. Stewards may ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captains to make any decision.

    SAVE YOUR REPLAY:
If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

    PARKING UP:
If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car. Quitting off track results in a sometimes race ending lag spike and may be punished in extreme scenarios.

    ATTENDANCE:
Could all drivers please inform Room Captains or make a post on the division thread if they do not intend on racing on Sunday night, Room Captains/ Lobby Hosts are advised not to wait for anyone who has not communicated their intentions. If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following weeks race.

TRACK SPECIFIC - Mount Panorama Racing Circuit

The spiritual home of RaceOnOz, Rooz returns to Bathurst for the penultimate round of the championship after a chaotic sprint round weekend. Bathurst will be a dry, 20 lap run to the flag prior to the season ending Suzuka retro round. There are very few overtaking opportunities around this circuit so great care needs to be taken if a chance appears at any unorthodox passing spot. Expect people to be aggressive down the bottom of the mountain, but sit behind and stalk their prey over the top, a routine sight at Bathurst.

Was really digging the sprint round, until just before the start of the 2nd race my partner came in with 2 screaming children, to which i had to bail out to assist with.

she knows not to come in next time.

    Qualified ok with 5th.
I managed to keep it clean for the most part and was able to keep within striking distance to the lead pack.
However after the pit stop and the front pack spread out a smidge and stopped battling each other, they just drove away. In short, aside from lap 1, I didn't see another car until the Kanna / Nemo issue, which lasted half a lap and then I was solo once again.
Happy with 4th in the end.

I don't generally look forward to racing at Bathurst and this race ended up being no exception.
Qualified ok, then end of lap 1 came across a spun out @dunamotornz on the racing line but he could do nothing about it and that meant the front pack was now out of reach. Then I spun at the cutting immediately after and jumped out as I had had enough.

Good to be back on the top step!

Had an interesting race, few good moves against Nemo and Kanna. Dealt with the undercut attempt from Nemo, before groover made his stop and we had all closed up his gap, I think top 4 was within 3 or 4 seconds.

Made a move on groover for the lead around lap 14, then lost 2 seconds on one lap, then 1.5 on the next to let him back through.

Capitalised on a mistake out of the dipper from Groover and made a run down conrod to get by on the crest, then had to do my best Hatfield wideboii maneuver to keep him behind in to Murray's to seal it.

    TRACK SPECIFIC - Suzuka Circuit

We come to our final round of what has been a very long season! Suzuka's flowing opening sector is an iconic bit of road, and requires bravery to attempt a pass through there. Much of Suzukas tarmac is full commitment and side by side is not a regular sight, especially if the forecast calls for rain. Remember too it is retro round so put your colours on display and show off your artistic side!

I hope you all enjoy the final round here in Japan and take a much needed break before we get the ball rolling for another very special Season 51 later in the year!

    Well well well.
What could have been, never was going to be..
Qualified well in 3rd, once I was able to pull a lap together. However this inability to keep the car on the track should have been an omen for my race.
Going for the alternate strategy of RM, RS, as I'm fond of murdering tyres (totally dead fronts by lap 9...), I was hoping to cling to the front runners and hamper the ones behind..
Well, that lasted until the chicanes, as I was pushed out of the way and lost all momentum and dropped to the back of the pack.
A few laps later, a spin at the hairpin, followed by another one under the bridge and I was 25s from 2nd last..
I managed a clean second stint which allowed me to reduce the gap to Party. Also in the 2nd stint, others who were on the other strategy of tyre consveration, I was reeling in, but it was too little too late.

Congratulations to @Hatfield who finally put it on the top step. I believe that this might be enough to secure your 3rd place finish as @xlxy90 didn't race. It will be close with all the others around you.

NOTE - I'm away on holidays next school term / season, so will not be racing. @emmo46 @Rangeraus or anyone else who might be interested to complete the stats while I'm away in the NZ?

Seeing the Fastest lap screen really put into perspective how consistency paid off considering I had the slowest lap of all finishers.

Qualified ok when you see the times being .6 off the lead, and .2 off second.

Started well as jostling occurred and I was up into 4th (I think)

Then I just kept it clean as others made errors around me to end up 2nd behind @Cameron Neame until he pitted on lap 7 committing to a 2 stop on softs.

I was on softs, and @Ian Cannan behind was on mediums but I just kept slowly pulling away (bar my one off-track excursion).

I kept the tyres alive until lap 11 when the front right finally lost all wear, and I pitted.

Came out just behind @Matthyus and then followed him through the esses, and passed him around the outside of turn 7 with the fresh softs.

The medium runners pitted and put their softs on with about 8 to go and started eating into my lead little by little.

Once @groover33 recovered to 2nd after earlier spins the lead really started decreasing but I held my nerve to cross the line for the Pink cars solo win this season

Well that race just summed up my whole season, got good start but spun on my own…… unfortunately hit Groover when he was behind whizz (I did readdress) just braked a tad later and tapped him which I’m sorry then once we got going again my plan was just to follow his lead and do as he did but he exited stage left at one point. Then it was just survival from there with my 1 stop soft run (just can’t make em last like Groover ) should’ve done a 2 stop or a medium run at least
