Tyre glitch i mentioned on previous page still present for me at Nurburgring Just tried Trial Mountain and all was good, able to seect RM Any suggestions
Bugger!! No immediate ideas Darko. Your room may have to run open tyres and you'll just have to watch replays to check no-one slipped on softs.
Are you going to be online tomorrow morning? I'll set up my room and see what happens when you go to change tyres.
My room is open, set for Nurb F, jump in when you get on (I may or may not be there, need coffee, smoke, shower.. etc etc )
One thing I did notice yesterday when testing the tyre compound change, it worked at Trial Mountain, then I went to Nurb and jumped straight on track, it started me on Race Mediums, it didn't default back to race hards after changing tracks. I don't normally check my tyre selection, GT 5 defaulted back to the previous tyres (I think??). Must get into the habit of checking the tyre-set before entering race
Ok, developments, Darko still had the glitch in my room, couldn't select RM tyres, but only on the first time he pitted, after the first attempt, it worked. Except, when Darko was running RM tyres, I watched on the "watch Race" tab and it said he was running RH tyres. Even on the member list, it said he was on RH when he was actually on RM tyres??? One option, but will make for some boring racing, is turn tyre wear and fuel burn off, and turn on mandatory pit-stop. Will have to go back to one tyre compound though, or the mediums will be put on after one lap.
Does anyone else find the RH tyres really dodgy, even when up to temperature? Really inconsistent, offering decent grip on some laps, then no grip 2 or 3 laps later...so frustrating
a pit stop isn't required for a good race imo. I can't accept any pitting at this stage while this glitch is still here its just going to make everything completely wacky. Ill assume even if tyre wear is off that the glitch is still in effect if you pit, if it isnt then it will make the racing stilupid anyway if you have to change compound as the logical thing to do would be pit lap 1 for the better tyre.
I think the car is grippy enough as it is, tyre may be more consistent but there will be no challenge in the car. It would be okay for a setup race where you can tweak things and so on, but I honestly prefer SS tyres for GT300 cars though.
