GT5 Sunday Le Mans 1960's enduro - Postponed to 15 July

Hi all.

I am trying to organise a Le Mans endurance race on a Sunday. Instead of doing it with the expected LMP/Class C cars, I was thinking of something a bit different; A 60's race

Ford Mark IV Race Car vs. Jaguar XJ13 Race Car vs. Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car.

Date - Sunday 15 July 2012
:Start time - 7:30pm AEST (+10 GMT)
Grid - Maximum of 14 drivers

Race Details:
Time/Weather change
Laps - 25
Minimum pit stops - 3
Tuning Restrictions - No turbo
Performance Restriction - 600PP (achieve using any means you wish)
Tyres - Racing Hard/Intermediate/Wet
In-game start time - 15:30 (3:30pm)
Time progression - 17 (hoping to get a 24 hour cycle in a 1'ish hour race)
Weather - 0 start, changeability 2

Fuel/Tyre Depletion - On
Grip Reduction - Real
Mechanical Damage - Light
Driving Line - Off
Traction Control - User choice
SRF - Off
Active Steering - Off

Prize - Level 23 ticket

It would be great to have as many people as possible to make this an enjoyable race I am also posting this info on to GTP to see if there are any people from there interested in hopes of having a near full grid

Sounds great Rumbles. I have been thinking of having a short enduro based series later in the year. My idea was to use the modern Lemans cars, but have the grid filled with LMP AND GT cars just like in real life. So you effectively have 2 races going on the one track...just like real life. Anyways, I'm keen for this.

i have all 3 so im in though i think the jaguar is defo the fastest

If I don't get anyone from GTP I will make it more AU friendly, but it wouldn't be starting at 8:20 though as the race will take a bit over an hour. Most likely I would make it a 7:30 start.

if you start it at 7:30pm I'll be in but if its 2pm Icant make it because of a prior engagement

sign me up, was just watching the le mans movie from the 70s on the weekend and had the same idea.

just a thought could have a random lottery like thing to assign cars for people so we get a mix rather than it wind up being a 1 make race which a fair few of these races seem to end up.

or even better people in higher div's get the slowest of the 3 cars. not sure which 1 that is but im sure theyll still be faster

Looks like no GTP people are interested so this is now a 7:30 kick off with a 1 out & 1 in qualifying lap.

Room will be open from around 7pm.

This one coming up (1 July) as per first post. Doing it prior to S8 starting

Chev; I was thinking of doing that LMP & GT idea but then decided to go with baby steps to leaed up to it. If enough interest is shown I may hold a Enduro on a semi-regular basis

ahhh might feel like doing this, if not just for the epic feeling of a le mans race if i do go, ill be in xj13 (only one i got) with a really ty colour of gold chrome.....dont know why i ruined it
