we hope it ticks all the boxes as well mate.....lets face it though, all these games do certain things very well and other stuff not so well....is the nature of the beast...looking forward though to seeing what we get and trying to make it work..
Well we have had @Killercarlcox69 whinging about iRacings graphics not being all pretty, but thankfully he has shut up and is enjoying driving the sim. He is old and probably has bad eye sight so graphics shouldn't really effect him. But he also rocked up with a PC with no graphics card so that didn't help
How are you guys finding the physics @JonoStan96 @stucar17 @garyw61 ? I see you've cut some laps already. I jumped on the controller but can't really tell the difference with that. Just feels like GT6 on the controller.
Physics are much like GT6 as in it is easy to pick up and play, but you need much more refined driving to be fast. You can't just hold the brakes while the car is turning anymore, you'll run wide every time. The cars I've got sadly don't allow me to properly test it, however I just unlocked the Alfa 4C GT4, and it is brutal if you don't respect the throttle pedal. I'm loving how it groups you with equally skilled drivers, each race has been very enjoyable. However I have encountered a few glitches which I'll point out in a video later. Engines cutting out and the like. Oh and while the FFB is fairly weak even with it turned up all the way, when you push the car to the limit you really can feel the front tyres struggling, gripping and slipping. Certainly something I have not felt in Pcars, rFactor, GT6, F1 2016, AC and any other game I can think of. It's fantastic.
It just felt like GT6 ported to the PS4 for me, but I haven't mucked around with the wheel settings too much yet. Saw lots of lag in the daily races unfortunately, hopefully this isn't going to be the norm. Graphics are outstanding!
Sigh... how can AC and PC have such great physics models, yet a powerhouse like Polyphony still use a rehashed 10-odd year old engine?
I was wondering when the obligatory Ben Smiff iRacing Falcon is the best car ever comment was going to pop up... Cheers for the code though.
One more thing to add, remember when people used to be able to mash the gear box into 1st at 250km/h to pull the car up faster? Happy to report that doesn't work anymore. Bad luck @Mustafur
I won the mustang today. Lots of fun was had. I can't say which PS4 game of the current crop is the best. But I did enjoy myself playing "gt6.5" on the PS4. It felt very familiar and easy to get my head around. Gran Turismo Sport was fun today. I will test longer as time permits. But today I had fun testing and chatting with @garyw61 and @stucar17. Good times driving an old friend today.
Just out of curiosity, did anyone read how many systems you can download the beta onto? Usually digital games give you a licence for multiple systems.
At the moment my car list is: Subaru WRX STI (N300) Nissan GT-R (Gr.4) Alfa Romeo 4C (Gr.4) Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 If there's any gameplay of the cars you want to see, let me know and I'll upload some!
